  1. I think it's a certainty that Jonny will be away now. And I think it'll be a certainty that McGinn will be away in the summer. The biggest test McInnes will face in the transfer front yet, will be replacing the both of them. I'd take O'Halloran at der tribute act, but grudge giving they bastards anything, but he IS a good player and would certainly curtail the loss of McGinn, Hayes on the other hand, is going to be ridiculously difficult to replace. Side note, I see Hearts have signed a central midfielder, Malaury Martin, who has some reasonable pedigree, particularly at the start of his career, could be a bit of a coup for them.
  2. Well he's definitely played his last game for FGR, confirmation from his manager, around 4-5 hours ago. http://www.stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk/sport/15024137.Video__Forest_Green_boss_Mark_Cooper_reveals_Elliott_Frear_wants_to_move_on/
  3. I'm almost ashamed that I never knew that, almost. He's been such a pivotal player for us as well, get a fucking grip of yourself KFP
  4. If you go to the Aberdeen website, Dons In Dubai - Day 3, 3rd last image, who is number 45? I am assuming he's a youth player, but can't put my finger on who it is.
  5. Just watched young Scott Wright's interview on Redtv, pretty much all but confirming he'll be going out on loan. Also, watched McInnes' too, the first minute of it is rather amusing, a fly takes the piss right out of him, I may be easily amused right enough, but found it fucking hilarious.
  6. A better move for him I'd imagine. St Mirren are plundering at an awful rate.
  7. Andy will retire at Aberdeen, fairly certain of that. The day will come though when a player like Logan, Hayes, McGinn or Rooney eventually move and it'll be interesting to see how we cope, we haven't been used to a player regarded as a key member leaving under McInnes, not that I can think of anyway.
  8. What's every bodies guess on Greg Tansey? Made it clear now he's definitely leaving ICT. IF we are still interested, and it's a big IF, to get him in this window, we could give them Scott Wright & Miles Storey on loan until the end of the season in exchange for Tansey? Both Wright & Storey are not going to feature at all for us in my opinion, so let them get regular games in the same league to keep them up to speed. FWIW, I am not sure Tansey is the type of player we need, but he is a natural central midfielder I suppose.
  9. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4082874/Aberdeen-set-lose-Niall-McGinn-Hearts-free-transfer.html Aye, he's already confessed all to his team-mates like A complete load of pish. Fwiw, I reckon he'll sign a new 1-year contract then leave next summer, probably to a League 1 side or lower end Championship team.
  10. A comment from RedTV regarding Maddison " Derek McInnes also confirmed James Maddison will go down to speak with Norwich on Monday. A deal for him staying at Pittodrie has not been signed yet. The manager remained hopeful that something will be sorted out between the clubs. " So the wee man went back to Norwich today to discuss extending his loan deal, obviously it's a 3-way thing, we have to want him, Norwich have to let him, and Maddison himself must want to also. I would imagine it'll be announced tomorrow if it's happening or not. As for McGinn, it's probably shite, but I see the last comment on JambosKickback forum is that Niall has signed a 2-year contract there? Can't see confirmation anywhere else, so it's probably a sad, deluded virgin trying to be controversial
  11. Hi Mr McInnes, can I ask why Miles Storey has seen so little game time? Thanks
  12. Hard to disagree with you there. I am also starting to get a little pissed off when he keeps repeating the old " We are still building " spiel, and maybe he is, but I think he's had adequate transfer windows to address the complete lack of dynamism and bite in our midfield. He has eventually fixed the GK department though I guess.
  13. Unacceptable result, no matter if it's 1st Team or Under 20's! Did we not win the Under 20's League last season?
  14. Wouldn't mind a Severin & Nicholson ( In their primes ) partnership in the CDM roles today.
  15. As has been stated, on numerous occasions, for a long time now, the only area that really needs strengthened is central midfield. We are fine in the GK department, we have 2 superb full backs ( If only 1 of them would be played there consistently ) out wide we have Hayes/McGinn and up front we have Rooney, Storey & Stockley, all capable of doing whatever is required, admittedly though, I would like to see us play 2 up front, be it Rooney/Storey or Stockley/Storey, I still believe we should not be playing with 2 sitting midfielders, especially at home. I am still relatively happy with O'Connor & Considine as our CB pairing, so really, that just leaves midfield. We definitely need a Draper type player, McLean will move into the Maddison role when he inevitably leaves, and that is where he should be, Ryan Jack is not capable of providing that combativeness that we need in there, he's not a bad player, he's just not got the ingredients to be our captain and make that role his own. What's Rostyn Griffiths up too? Over 6ft, plays in that role and has been linked with us a few times in the past few windows. May just be what we need.
  16. Are we now SEVEN points behind the tribute act, with only one game in hand?
  17. ??? Fuck sake Jonny, I hope you are not insinuating that we are maybe being a bit harsh being disappointed with only an absolutely bore fest of a fucking goalless draw, at home, where we scored 5 only 4 days earlier, are you? On the other hand, at least he's not accepting that Sevco are favourites for 2nd
  18. I stand corrected, Jonny Hayes is actually playing at Left Back, despite us having a natural Left Back in Shinnie and a Centre Back in Considine, who can play Left Back. Absolutely fucking perplexing.
  19. I think it's going to be Lewis Logan O'Connor Considine Shinnie Pawlett McLean McGinn Maddison Hayes Rooney
  20. McGinn, Pawlett & Rooney all starting tonight.
  21. On Considine, I would argue he's worked extremely hard on his game and is a vastly improved defender. I like him. On Morris, we won't know unless he's given an opportunity
  22. Creating this thread due to some debating as to what our best back 4 is and what it should be. Freeing the Killie match thread. Would I be correct in saying our strongest back 4 is RB. Logan CB. O'Connor CB. Considine LB. Shinnie Can't see much argument for anything else really? Is there anyone who feels Considine should be LB with Shinnie in midfield? Or is there anyone who'd replace O'Connor or Considine for either Taylor or Reynolds?
  23. I don't think there's much debate, I think everyone agrees that our back 4, let alone the CB pairing, should be Logan, O'Connor, Considine, Shinnie I only suggested tonight's line up due to Jack being suspended, or he'd be in the sitting CDM role with O'Connor replacing Taylor. And I maintain that we should never have 2 CDM's, we are good enough to allow for 1, be it Jack, Storie or O'Connor. Possibly on a bigger pitch it makes sense to have 2 ( Parkhead, Ibrox, Hampden ) But in all our home games, and majority of Away games, excluding above mentioned venues, we should not be set up as defensive as we are.
  24. I did, but that was him just arrived at the club, was it not? And I think it was a European game also? Could be wrong, but the point I make with him playing in there is, that he's now probably found his feet, and would be ideal in there for a game like tonight's. Just my opinion, but more to the point, we don't really need 2 sitting midfielders for a game such as tonight's.
  25. Correct, and in my opinion, it's clearly rubbing off on the players, they look rather disappointed and genuinely uninterested. They know we are better than we are showing, but they are only following the managers instructions, he is 100% to blame for this past weeks pish.
