  1. Anyone but Celtic. I’ll assume we have to beat them in a final to win it, but that’s a really tough semi. Other than the distant memory 2-2, absolutely no sign now we can beat them and it’s been a couple of rough ones against them this season. Would be nice to see us in a Scottish cup final again and hearts or hibs are beatable.
  2. I’m the only my one really complaining. And I acknowledged the positives. I also think we played well for 45 mins today, first 15 we were shaky and nervous which I understand. Last 30 JT could have utilized much more effectively. I think that’s valid.
  3. I get it, I know it’s a great win in a banana skin game, first 15 mins we looked very shaky/nervous, and the two quick goals really changes the game. It’s easy to say at 4-0 rest players, avoid injury, bring in the likes of Milne and polvara, but I think the last 30 could have been more effectively used for the benefit of team improvement, not simply to give guys minutes and avoid injury. Delighted to be in the semis. ill give Morris credit, it’s probably the first start he’s played well, he worked hard, looks more physical etc, but it’s still a level below and what he’s expected to do on a weekly basis….. he hasn’t done that to date. He’s let us down on pretty much every start and he’s not a new player. Been given plenty of opportunity. what did Ambrose do well? He looks slow and lethargic, gave away a few fouls, and chases the game in slow motion. He had one good layoff and one good header, other than that I don’t recall anything positive. He’s not making great runs, no creative passes, didn’t create a chance for himself or others. Nisbet did all of that today. As our 9 he did more negative than positive in the time he played and that has a negative impact on the game and how we play.
  4. Yes but there’s more to it. We made 3 changes, stuck gueye out wide, added a 10, and our 9 cannot link. It’s not just fresh legs, it totally changes the way we play, and we’re not a team who is playing consistently to a rhythm. It became a training game for 30 mins which, while beneficial for some, to me could have been more effectively used.
  5. Absolutely. But at the same time we’re not a team on a strong run and let’s kick on. 5 or 6 and a dabbagh hat trick, nisbet grabbing another etc does more than giving Ambrose a jog out there. Dabbagh and nisbet are in our plans and let them kick on, get sharper etc, playing Ambrose does nothing for us. It’s great seeing Milne polvara and Boyd, but to me letting a game fizzle out, losing the clean sheet etc takes the shine off the display. Just being greedy but I think we could have approached things a little differently.
  6. Good shift from Morris but as said, it’s against a championship team. Think it’s relative.
  7. Incredibly frustrating watching Ambrose up top. Nisbet and dabbagh look sharp and lively, Ambrose looks lethargic and slow. He’s just not a footballer ffs. we have nothing up top now and it affects our play. Would have been nice to kick on but a sloppy goal lost and the last 25 is a shitty ending to a great result.
  8. Don’t know why we give Ambrose minutes. Nobody has seen anything to suggest he’s near good enough.
  9. Let’s not dick around. Get the 4th and truly end it. 3-1 gives them encouragement. hope polvara gets a decent run in the second half.
  10. He’s playing the way Mackenzie did, attacking threat and offers goals/assists. Been badly lacking in recent weeks, haven’t seen it from jack and okkels has offered little. Plus his drive and leadership is a factor.
  11. Good first half after a very poor/shaky start. Shinnie Clarkson and nisbet top men so far.
  12. Clarkson has been very good so far in the sivert role, getting on the ball but doing a shift defensively too. And as much as I’m questioning dabbagh, two up top is working and they are both working their bollocks off. Shinnie at left back too is a big positive.
  13. Has he been training with Ambrose???
  14. Strange to say as he just scored but dabbagh not looking too hot today. Getting more of the ball and involved, but much like Jensen, not looking too hot.
  15. He’s definitely our target man now, he drops a lot and looks to receive the ball, and links pretty well. With dabbagh ahead of him nisbet drops with dabbagh up top. 2 up top and nobody taking nisbet drop space at 10 seems to be effective.
  16. Now let’s kick on and win 4 or 5. Or do we gift a stupid goal and hang on at 2-1?!?! COYR!
  17. That certainly helps! Fuck knows what has happened to nisbet but he’s not a bad player now!
  18. You don’t answer the question, and that’s polvara’s problem. Does anyone know his best position, or where he should play? He’s not been given an extended run in the same position, one of these guys who has been solid when he’s played but that has been in different positions and different formations. Agree sivert can play in tight spaces, but can polvara play that role? Would like to see us try.
  19. Think I’d rather have polvara at the back than dorrington. Clarkson doing a shift defensively too. We need the first goal, we look nervous!
  20. Interesting lineup. Not a fan of Morris starting, think he really helps us coming on as a sub. He must have an effect on the game, and to be fair, has started well. Definitely a shaky start.
  21. What’s polvara’s best position? He looked tidy towards the end of last year but that was more as an attacking midfielder, and he grabbed a goal or two. I’d honestly like to see him tried in sivert’s role. While sivert can play well, it’s all when we have the ball. I think he’s a liability defensively, and I think polvara is younger, more athletic and mobile, and more technical. Would polvara and palaversa work in the middle for us?
  22. Wrong thread for this discussion, but we don’t have any young wingers good enough. Topi is young and inconsistent, Morris isn’t good enough, vinnie average. From what I think I heard, it’s 1M for okkels and I’d like to think we can get better for less. Unless he’s an absolute stud until the end of the season we’d be crazy to buy him.
  23. Would left leaning be more appropriate? Can you clarify if I can use the terms huns and victims, or am I factually wrong there too when I reference those here? Your patronizing attitude is all too common in the US too and what has scared many people to go to trump and the republicans. Its the scolding, canceling, and though police that people have had enough of, getting slammed for simply sharing a thought or daring to speak up and share an honest opinion. It’s also why I dont really talk politics any more. I don’t need someone to try to educate me or talked down to me, I just answered a question. I also don’t think anyone here gives two shits about the fifties and sixties, you’re off the mark there. I think a lot of people just want a stronger economy, better housing prices, improved immigration and the border, affordable cars, being able to buy a normal shopping, less war, less wasteful spending, less government bureaucracy, less fentanyl, less crime and inner city, particularly sanctuary city, chaos, and less trans and DEI nonsense. We simply want a government the appears to understand and connect with the majority of people and their issues, and focus on what matters to average Americans. When you talk as you do most people here would just shut you out because it doesn’t come across as a friendly discussion, more a condescending lecture that we don’t really relate to or feel particularly relevant, and we’re sick of that. im not disagreeing or debating your political position, its your attitude and approach. All too common and what has possibly caused an over reaction in a different direction. And the left aren’t changing, and are simply making their situation worse.
  24. Been here since 95. Considered myself a democrat until seeing first hand the country change under Obama. Gone from being an arrogant mother fucker to the biggest woke pussy and trump is taking the country back. The minority have been focusing on all the wrong things for 4 years. In my opinion. Lived in LA for 17 years and witnessed first hand the results of a left/far left government, saw the decline in society, homelessness, drugs, crime, high costs, woke agenda etc. Said here back in 2020 that I wasn’t a trump fan but I really feared where a democratic government would take us. What an awful 4 years domestically and abroad and while I still don’t particularly like trump and how he conducts himself, I agree with the majority of what he’s doing. It’s got very expensive here, the country way overspends, economy is shit, housing market is shit, influx of illegals and the challenge to local economy and resources, and we’re going bankrupt fast. There’s also world conflict and we didn’t really have that before under trump. His methods may not be ideal or pleasing on the eye but I think he’ll be more effective than the previous administration. Extreme change was wanted by the majority of the country, the minority are crying about it, but when your media is democratically owned it’s the crying and the pushback you hear on tv. Like that musk is an independent auditor providing insight, exposing and reporting corruption/fraud, amazing the money and misspending he’s finding. Many politicians left and right are freaking out because of years of mismanagement and the lining of their own pockets. Interesting when you see the ‘reported’ net worth of a number of politicians when it’s publicly known what they earn, doesn’t add up. im sure it’s a media reality show drama/comedy but its the change the country needed. It was never going to be pretty. I am also 100% behind an America first agenda. If you can’t afford to live and care for your own you shouldn’t continue to throw all your money away. Billions have been given to Ukraine for example, and from what I understand, much of it they cannot trace. And for what? don’t particularly like expressing my opinions here as I know I am in the vast minority but I can only express my opinion based on how my life has been affected and the environment I live in.
  25. No thanks, morris has had plenty of opportunity. The fact that he consistently produces as a second half sub, I would not change that. We lose that boost when he starts, and his mediocre at best starts don’t make up for him gone in the second half. I would start shinnie, at left back. Possibly a game to give Dabbagh a start instead of gueye, and maybe clarkson ahead of palaversa.
