  1. Another game where we don’t see the attacking side of Andy Robertson. Been a good few games now. He also looked gassed the last 15-20 mins, and out of position for their winner. Is he past his prime??
  2. Doak had a decent first half but a bit of the shayden’s in him. He seems to mostly cut inside, although I think he is a leftie?? If he’s got legit pace I’d like to see him take on the fullback.
  3. Based on the first half a very winnable game. Disappointed we couldn’t hold the lead, but we’ve had opportunities and look pretty organized. no doubt we get pasted in the second half now
  4. I get dykes, he’s been a big performer for Clarke and Scotland over the last few years. Ralston has been piss for the most part and doesn’t play much for Celtic. The only consideration I have is that by giving doak a debut he didn’t want two newbies down one side.
  5. A few thoughts. Good to see doak start, lots of hope pinned on him though. Adams is on form but had a really poor euros, dykes has more of a presence as the loan striker and holds the ball up quite well. Porteous is the future (for now) and despite the Germany game has played well for Scotland, Hanley is the past. Biased I know and Ralston has the Scotland experience, but he’s rarely played this season and has shown very little when he has played for Scotland. Devlin is fit, sharp, and full of confidence, why not give him the start? A coach with half a brain does that, or at least gives him 20 mins for the experience. i do rate Gordon despite his age.
  6. Yes, happy with that but others have mixed feelings about him. Had a dip in form when we were pish last year, but a pretty reliable guy. Need a young guy too push him on, still don’t see jack milne as a right back. so, is that one down two to go, Mackenzie and McGrath next??
  7. Ha! Thanks for asking! Pissing down and pretty strong winds at present, Milton will make landfall on the gulf coast any time now so the next few hours will be pretty shitty. Not the category 4 or 5 we thought it may be but still pretty hairy. Still have power for now which certainly helps, but I expect to lose that any time.
  8. Listening to JTs interview the other day he talked about a few days off. Agree Nisbet doesn’t look fit but now he’s training and trying to prove himself to Clarke, not bad for us if that’s his days off!
  9. Worst rangers team since they reached the top division, and certainly questions asked if they can afford to strengthen in January. I believe we can though if needed. competition for second very much on. What an atmosphere it will be against them later this month. Celtic is an interesting one. We’ve ridden our luck, teams have missed chances against us. If Celtic are on form and we play like much of the hearts game, it could easily be a 4-0 game. At the same time, this is the exact game I want to see Thelin coach where we don’t have as much possession and counter. I expect palaversa for clarkson and sokler for nisbet, although it’s too early to speculate on a team as we’ve got a bunch away at present. going to be brave and say 1-1. Sokler.
  10. Haha. I’m a sportsmanship kind of guy but I do like the fact that mitov, sivert, and palaversa all seem to have a bit of bite about them. Good swagger/confidence!!
  11. Yeah, it’s a tough one. Duk and sokler are probably fitter and faster but nisbet the better goalscorer most likely. Have the runner work the defense then bring a fresh scorer on to bag the winner?
  12. Said it already, against Celtic I’d drop clarkson. Play shinnie at 10 who will pressure and work their holding mids, sivert and palaversa can provide the muscle. Palavesa is creative too, I’m intrigued by this. Repeating myself twice, I’d play sokler or duk before nisbet too.
  13. Very well. Normal ‘duuuuukkkk’ response. Good day for him. although always hard to tell, could have been boos!!
  14. If duk has half a brain, which is certainly questionable, he signs an extension/new contract. One year, maybe two. Jimmy’s style of play, including counter attacking, suits him. He’s been a tool which will have lowered interest, today was a good reintroduction.
  15. I think that’s what makes them both assets, two different types of winger. Same on the other side with McGrath and duk, on both sides we can play very differently. I didn’t really enjoy it, but obviously happy with the result. hearts were better for much of the game, and our midfield was off it today which meant for much of the time we were on the back foot. Same as the second half last week. On another day we get pasted. Curious to see how we approach Celtic, sit back and counter no diubt, as we have before and failed. less time and possession may well suit us, and the way a jimmy team tends to play. I’d consider duk at 9, possibly sokler. We’ll need a more mobile pressing player up top. never had an opinion on shankland before but thought he was a complete bellend today. Fortunate not to see red in the first half. Easy type to dislike.
  16. I’d say jimmy learns from that one. There are days we start with palaversa, sivert, and shinnie at 10. More physical opponent. Shinnie’s pressing and energy higher up helps. Palaversa deeper helped when he came on too. Saying that, could argue today was a day we missed pape. being able to bring on Morris and duk wide is a big plus. Thought nisbet was poor, still looks heavy, unfit, and not overly mobile. Not my preference at 9 if that’s what he is.
  17. Poor today but finding ways to win. Hearts did a good job of helping us keep the run going. Missed chances, stupid needless red, and shankland is a total bellend. He deserved the red, he kicks the ball away and no booking, palaversa booked at the end for kicking the ball away. That inconsistency does my head in. needs to be much better though, last two games haven’t been great but still winning, can’t really complain. Couple of weeks to get some work in, although we’ll see plays away with their countries. lastly, nice dummy by sokler on the winner!
  18. Deserved, we’ve been shite so far.
  19. Poor so far, probably fortunate to be tied, palaversa for clarkson please, move shinnie to 10.
  20. Yeah, hearts got a late win. But that costs energy playing that hard. would rather see duk off the bench than Ambrose, even sokler. Could be the game all is forgiven when duk comes on and scores the winner??
  21. I don’t really know what to expect. We were poor second half against Dundee but obviously are on a great run. At the same time, hearts results have been very poor despite a euro win. Don’t think we lose, but a draw, maybe, sneak a 2-1 maybe, plus we’ve missed quite a few chances in games, maybe we take them and it’s 3 or 4-0. our winning run will end, but why tomorrow. Hearts should tire and our high pressing should wear them down. And is it set up for unlucky 13 at parkhead?? 3-1 us, nisbet, McGrath, shinnie
  22. I don’t understand what we are missing and I’m trying to be as impartial as possible. Rama was better shinnie is better, sivert is better, palaversa so far appears better or at worst on par. I’d compare Barron to polvara, who I see struggling for game time when fit, as would Barron if he were in this squad. Obviously there are different types of midfielders, but Barron isn’t particularly fit, fast, strong, skilled, dominating, aggressive, scoring threat etc….??
  23. Too late to get var involved and rule out the rangers goal?
  24. When are the Huns being told what they owe us for the wee central midfielder we more than adequately replaced?
  25. No disrespected intended to pape, but he’s been a bonus. I expected clarkson flanked by McGrath and topi with Morris and Vinny filling in wide, adding duk somewhere too. Opportunity for others to shine, including Nisbet to be the main scorer now.
