  1. Any attack comes from our left and topi. Morris with his usual performance as a starting player unfortunately.
  2. Similar to the first goal, we give away possession in our own half and we’re stretched. Mitov should have done better, either hold the shot or get it wide.
  3. Too many mistakes, I don’t think we look very match sharp, perhaps a concern with the lack of preseason games..?
  4. Pretty much nothing from yengi so far too. Really want a 9 who gets involved. New signing by half time?
  5. Bit of a meh performance so far, not really gotten going and gifted a poor goal. Would like to see more from Clarkson and adil to get us up the park.
  6. I’m sure I’m wrong but so far yengi doesn’t look much better than Ambrose!
  7. Hoping Boyd is Adil’s back up at 10, would be nice to see a Scottish player break through or at least be a squad regular. Yengi and Milne are big boys!! Keen to see adil and milanovic, hope we upgraded the creativity.
  8. Been debated more on other sites than here, but a hat trick tonight….relative to the opponent…..made me wonder, could Ronan hale be the next Adam Rooney? Ambrose clearly isn’t our level, yengi unproven, and sokler hasn’t taken the opportunities. He’s a known that I think has shown he can perform at this level. Would be an underwhelming signing, but Rooney was no super star when we signed him. Given the wingers and a creative 10, I expect our center forward to get chances this year and hale is a decent finisher…..maybe?
  9. Likewise, it’s nothing against dorrington, good lad and solid player. Even has me wondering if Tobers has settled or is he on his way? If we’re playing alfie it’s less minutes for Milne and polvara (even though he’s a midfielder) and we’re not developing our own players as you’ve said. Good player and he probably makes us better, but at what cost?
  10. I suppose we should expect 3/5 at the back against Celtic again, maybe rangers, plus Europe, so bringing dorrington back helps that. Assuming ruby leaves plus maybe injury concerns with tobers?
  11. I’d even add gueye and clarkson to the above given I’m reading these are players possibly linked to moves away. None of our players have been consistently good enough that I wouldn’t be disappointed if any of them left for decent money. Take away the cup win and last season wasn’t a success, and our starting 11 wasn’t good enough. I was gutted when Hayes left, mcginn to china (I think?), obviously bojan too, but with this current squad has anyone been consistently good enough to lock in a starting spot?? Maybe mitov, kneuster, probably topi and Jensen, but who else is a sure fire starting player?
  12. Shady was really poor his first year but improved last year, but still very inconsistent. I don’t think he ever played a good game from the start, and dont know if he ever played a full game. He did have some good games off the bench and certainly got goals/assists. To be offered Ā£600k plus for that description and who’s in his last year of a contract shouldn’t be dismissed. If luton improve their offer plus throw in a sell on clause we totally accept. He’s also 24 in November, not like he’s a young player any more. I’d like to think there’s another shady or better we can find. I also think if he plays this season our opponents know exactly what he is and he won’t have as strong a season. He’s not overly skilled or smart, or physical/strong, sit off him and don’t give him space in behind, or send two defenders, or be overly physical, and he’s no clue what to do. I thought we were starting to see some of that last season.
  13. From what understand, the Epstein list is so much bigger than trump and they simply cannot release it. Whether it be Trump, Bill Clinton and his world buddies, world royalty including Prince Andrew, big pharma pinup bill gates, oil tycoons, world billionaires etc, the list won’t get released. too many powerful people simply won’t allow it. I don’t think that many people care. I don’t anymore. Politics got so toxic that I had to walk away. I do feel common sense is taking over in certain areas and that is a plus, but I know others here don’t share my views so I’m not going into it. Got wrapped up so much in the Biden shitshow, even now with auto pen drama and questions behind who was in fact running the country, the chaos with ICE where the democrats are defending /supporting/ funding illegal immigrants and criminals, I’m just enjoying life and paying as little attention as possible. Ignorance is bliss. Selfish I know. Excited about our season, more concerned about our lack of preseason competitive games - from such a high of the cup final I think we missed a real opportunity to play 2-4 glamor’ friendlies with decent crowds.
  14. I like polvara, I just don’t know how we play him. He’s not an enforcer, not a holding mid, not a ramadani engine, not that flair creative 10 that perhaps Adil is, and not a deeper lying creative type like Clarkson. Don’t see how he fits in to our starting 11 but is a good utility player who can even come off the bench and play in the back like the final. For his benefit does he move on?
  15. Am I just old and special ed, or are both red tv and the club site pretty shit? I sign in to see games and scores, news, highlights etc and it’s not smooth, or overly simple. Perhaps it’s because I am on my phone but i don’t find either site particularly convenient.
  16. Anyone at the game??
  17. warming up in Christmas wrapping paper today?
  18. Ambrose Rubi rich jensen gyemfi tobers sivert polvara ?
  19. Surprised topi is playing, thought he’d get an extended summer given the u21s.
  20. And he bought a kilt. Guy is fired up for the season! like a new signing?
  21. I also don’t know the role yengi and sokler are going to play, a couple of friendlies may give a slight idea? We could sign someone tomorrow or it’s a loan at the end of August, either could easily happen. Given the secrecy of all signings to date, pretty much anything can occur in the next 6 weeks, which is still a long time for the window to still be open. Personally I’m hoping a new legit signing, the next miovski, and would prefer it not to be nisbet. While he’s decent I’m greedy and want better.
  22. Anyway, unlikely it will ever happen. When are we signing a 9?
  23. Like I said, highly unlikely/impossible, but I’ll pick holes at your response. I just wonder if we ever look at transfers this way. We have a player trading model and in the states trades are very common/the means of transfers. Very different logistically, and I agree with what you said in the sense of salary being an issue, unlike here, in the nba for example, where salaries are out in the open and you have to match salary. However - Lennon is out of contract in a year. What was 2.5m in January is less 7 months later. 1.5m plus 2 players and a sell on % may sound about right. Doesn’t matter what como are paying for other players. are Jensen and polvara high earners? I dont think so. Can Motherwell afford them, maybe? Both have an upside too, I think they’d be good signings for Motherwell despite their limited playing time with us. Unlike the states where players for the most part go to the trading team, footie players have to agree to a team and Jensen and or polvara may have no interest in Motherwell. That’s a major stumbling block. i don’t see him going to rangers, and at Celtic I potentially see him going the way of David Turnbull. The comparison to Ferguson is a good one. Be a star with us, become a Scotland regular, then move onwards and upwards. Not happening I know, I’ll go lie down.
  24. Im too lazy to look, do they do the stainless steel travel mug? That’s a sure fire winner, plenty like me with a coffee addiction. Pretty sure we’d be buying miovski if we sold these in the club shop.
  25. Highly unlikely/impossible, plus it’s the American sports influence in me where teams ā€˜own’ players, but what if we offered Motherwell Ā£1.5M (using that since it was mentioned with Adil) plus polvara and Richard Jensen plus a 20% sell on for Lennon miller. I like polvara and think he’s solid but he sets them up with a replacement, and I just don’t know where he fits with us. surely the Lewis Ferguson comparison is a good thing to sell them on? I don’t think Ā£4m for a player in Scotland with 12 months left on a contract is realistic, and this is a creative win-win offer.
