  1. A typically not very enjoyable semi final, but job done. Need to have a bit more appetite for the final though. COYR
  2. Sounds like game management time. Not our strongest point
  3. They want it more.Need to pick up the tempo. Ach Rooneys scored its aright
  4. In/oot - Oot Furryboots - hame Pre - DIY around the hoose Post - Heading for Skye Cuillin Prediction - Quietly confident,2 nil Dons Maclean,Considine 50 yard thunderbolt. COYR
  5. Doubt McInnes would take the job if offered IMO. Potential bad career move
  6. A non embarassing, lesser known song by the Knack - Good girls dont...great riff
  7. I Effing loved that song,(still do) ^^^^ But,by guilty pleasures I look at it as songs you were embarassed to like.As more a heavy rock man back in the day,c/w the long hair, and the Rush/Led Zep sew on badges on the back of the Levi jacket, a few songs slipped thru the net and..er
  8. 2 or 3 pints. Is that on top of whatever else you have(tea/coffee/beer),or is that instead of?
  9. Good topic. I doubt i drink more than a 2/3 of pints of fluid(inc cups of tea/coffee) etc a day,and rarely have alcohol thru the week. I dont feel like I need more than that, but maybe set in my ways, and am interested to try it out.4 or 5 pints a day though??,cant imagine drinking that amount without forcing it down.Only thing Id be worried about is sweating more(and pee breaks) if water intake is increased by over 50%.I do a physical job. will give it a go.
  10. Good to see him getting the deserved praise. So much for the Langfield 'he's all we can expect at our level' of which I subscribed.Happy to be proved wrong. Defence hasnt clicked yet but his presence can only help get there

    Films

Seen 'the impossible' the other night, based on a true story about survivors of the Tsunami in 2004. Hard to work out if it was a film,or a film account of the event. Some impressive scenes throughout, but thought the script was pretty poor. Could have been better 6/10
  12. Despite being likened to Peter weir,Mark McGhee and Kenny Dalglish looks wise...(aye,back in the day ),form wise, as a forward, it was akin to Darren Mackie on a bad day .Never got better than lower amateur.
  13. Cherry peaches - Blues n trouble
  14. Only go to home games after 5 wins on the trot. Other than that, none
  15. Discovered these guys recently - Monsieur Perine below, and Lake Street Dive further down
  16. Possibly right, but it would have been easier to make a judgement after a run of a few games. Think in Smiths case,if the ball was being moved about quickly,he could be effective.Otherwise he got closed down and brushed off the ball too easy
  17. whether he stays or goes,I hope the players have taken on board his attitude, confidence and creativity which was a big part of our problem before he arrived,ie heads going down, running out of ideas after 40 mins Kenny seems to be coming onto a game, hopefully coinciding with a potential Maddison departure in Jan,though Id allow reasonable hope of keeping him on longer
  18. a bit bitter for me. Got Innes and Gunn original tonight .Very nice
  19. Ok..OK!!!, 2 - 0 Dons then......tch Embracing the elements in SS X uncovered... COYR
  20. Joey also managed at Peterhead for a bit, maybe Deveronvale in some capacity? Gardiner the goalie, Inverurie? Willie Garner - Keith and a few others Mixu obviously Steve Archibald - East Fife, airdrie
  21. Welcome over min. Maybe need to keep bumping a redirect thread on Mad for folks to know where abdys gone to
  22. 2-2 Draw against Hearts, nae long before the LC Final v Celtic,1976. Old man was an armchair fan,but only went to a few games in the George Hamilton era.Sisters boyfriend drove us through to the first few games, before we got those student railcards to get the train through
  23. Was in the hills a couple of weeks ago,and had a tumble while crossing a stream.Apart fae getting soaked ,I had my camera in one hand, and it went briefly underwater. It was switched off,but I made the mistake of trying it out later that day to see if it was working(apparently its best to try drying it out first before starting). It wasnt working, and so set about trying to get it dried out(submerged in rice, bit of hairdrier, left in the airing cupboard) Camera seems to be able to take pictures normally, zoom etc,but it seems to be shorting,ie the flash goes off at will. And the on/off switch doesnt work.Comes on by itself when you insert a battery Having looked online, the prospects are pessimistic for repair.Reluctant to chuck it out yet since its quite new(Canon powershot SX280). Any techy types on here think it may be salvagable,or know a whizz kid worth giving a call Cheers.
  24. Heavy Rock would be as far as it goes/went for me. Bad Company,Rush,Black Sabbath, along with more bluesy stuff, SRV,Led Zep, The Mob Rules(Black Sabbath),that must be on the border of Rock and Metal.Great album
