  1. The thing is Logan has been on a season long slump. We are in third place in the league in spite of him, not because of him. So I just dont believe playing Ball in a couple of matches would really have made any great difference to the results. I think we would still have beaten St Johnstone and still have lost to Fartz. But at least we would have found out Ball was not a suitable option for the semi....
  2. We already have a proper left back at the club. We just have a manager who refuses to play him there...
  3. 12.5k per week. And an utter cock of a personality. I'd rather give Considine a 5 year contract than see that arse anywhere near our club
  4. Even though Miller is 38 I fully expect to see him turn up somewhere like St Mirren or Thistle in a player/coach role. And he will do fairly well.... Wallace....different kettle of fish. Barely literate, injury prone and on a whacking great contract with over a year to run. Sevco are stuck with him and tbh they deserve each other.
  5. I believe trying Ball out in a couple of league matches would have shown that he wasn't capable of playing right back and so would have afforded DM the opportunity to revise his tactics for the cup tie, most likely going with a back 3. Might still have lost the tie who knows, but throwing Ball in was a gamble too far ( I don't consider playing him at right back in an U20 match a proper test).
  6. Big Al is sadly correct. Celtic will win the league as long as they remain part of Scottish football under the present circumstances. Best scenario as it stands is that Celtic fuck off to England/anywhere but seems unlikely. Sevco will likely go bust spending cash they do not have trying to halt the run. We will win a trophy probably once every 5 years as will Hibs/Hearts We either need a very generous investor (50 million minimum) or a shake up in the rules to allow us to ever compete for the league again
  7. It was "fucking bawbag" and was definitely aimed at Murty. John James is a zoomer and no attention should ever be paid to anything that cockwomble posts. Whilst it was gratifying watching sevco getting served up a huge great can of whoopass it in no way detracts from our woeful performance 24 hours previously
  8. He was decent for 6 months at the start of his contract. Been underwhelming to rank rotten ever since. Not of the required standard going forward and should play no further part until his contract runs out after the twitter crap. Would far rather see a young loon get a run out who will be here for the next season or two.
  9. I absolutely concur that McInnes is accountable for having no suitable back up for Logan at all for the past 3 seasons. Every other position has/had cover and it is bordering on the bizarre why this one position has been neglected so glaringly. Logan up till the end of last season had been fantastically consistent but this season has been fantastically consistently shyte. We were all amazed towards the end of last season that he signed the new deal as everyone expected him to be off back down south nearer his young kids....he hinted that was his intention. I'm guessing we made him an offer any English club ( prob EFL1 level) just wasn't willing to come close to matching and he signed back on with us with the intention of making himself financially stable for the rest of his life. However, in my opinion, his constant shuttling back and forth to Manchester has taken its toll and he just isn't getting the rest he requires to recover after games....he isn't getting any younger. I've said elsewhere, I hope McInnes (or whoever is in charge come summer) at least tries to buy Cadden off Motherwell in the summer. with a year left on his contract he would cost 250-300k max and would give us an extra option of playing at wing back as well as full back. Shay would then be the back up option for the last year of his contract.
  10. 3-1 is a comfortable win....
  11. Logan obviously. He has been rank rotten all season. Ball is a defensive midfielder and in that position isnt nearly as bad as folk make out. However it has been revealed all too painfully that a full back he definitely is not. As has been said.....McInnes had 4 weeks to sort out something for this game knowing that Logan wasn't going to be playing. Ball should have played at least once, probably twice in that period to see if he was capable of doing so effectively. Logan would not have been missed, he has contributed the square root of fuck all all season and the rest may have done Logan some good and certainly concentrated his mind that he needs to buck up his ideas. Ball would have shown that he wasn't up to being a right back and DM could have made alternative plans for Saturday....going with a back 3 most likely and we may have found ourselves in a Cup Final. That we aren't lies firmly and squarely on the shoulders of McInnes who did absolutely nothing
  12. Still do not believe he would improve our squad one iota. (well of course I'd have him in place of wine gums but he will be gone in a few weeks thankfully). Going forward we need better quality......Moult I believe is a few steps ahead of Main quality wise and Preston look like they might be willing to offload him in summer. I'd like to see the board show a bit of ambition and release the funds for us to make a realistic bid otherwise I can see him ending up at sevco. As for Main.....i stick to my guns that the SPFL teams will have him sussed by early next season and he will probably end up back in EFL2 or lower EFL1 by next summer
  13. I think we will get 2 points from the 5 games. Zero of which will come next Sat....
  14. Rooney and Considine are completely blameless for today's fiasco. All Motherwell's attacks came down their left flank where Ball took Logan's shiteness to another level. Another poster said Logan wouldn't have allowed the first goal to happen...... possibly true as Logan would have been standing off the player so far and deep that he would instead have cut inside and fired in a shot himself. Would Joe have stopped it though? Woodman and Joe are equally bad with the ball at their feet. I rate Woodman the better shot stopper though.... We all know Rooney and May does not work. If we can see it here how come the best paid manager In Dons' history can't? Stewart.........sorry that's it get tae fuck. Too one footed, and even that one is utter shyte. And slower than a Lada with 3 misfiring cylinders. McKenna.......may just have played himself out of the next Scotland squad with his past two performances. And making him captain only made things worse. Kari.......i was ok about giving him a further year till today. Bullied by a striker a full 6 inches smaller and lack of pace absolutely evident . O'Conner........O'phuq May........not a lot of service but the one chance he did have chose to take the shot with his weaker foot when the shot was required ( and was easier to execute) on his stronger right foot. Looks like his injury has ensured he will never be the same player he was in the last season At St J. Nwakali.....Nwafukin idea how Man City thought this was a player.... Christie.......worst game for us by far. Looked disinterested as if he knows he is going back to Celtic prior to being sold to a lower Championship side on probably double what he is getting just now anyway. McInnes.....out thunk by a manager with half his experience, half his salary and a budget half of ours... Over to you Wiggy.......
  15. As long as Well dont win the cup then 4th gets the euro spot. However if we dont finish at very worst 3rd then i dont think we deserve it. No matter who Well face in the final i will be supporting them and if that means us missing out on europe if we finish 4th then i make no apologies for it. No matter what happens.......McInnes out
  16. stewart ffs One footed shyte again
  17. think we will need 3 just to force extra time
  18. Ball was correct about the handball but ffs it is drilled into your head from about 7 years old you play the whistle never stop. The second.....unbelieveable what is Mckenna thinking about going for it on his left foot. Whatever happened to coaching 2 footedness ffs. And Joe isn't entirely blameless either .....slow to react
  19. Still not confident but think we will scrape through after extra time 0-1 (Christie)
  20. Hamburg pretty much certain to be relegated anyway so he would only be playing in German second division initially. Seemed decent but no more. Anyway fuck der Hun
  21. I think it is obvious that the SPFL think it is between sevco and the spoonburners for second but hopefully getting celtic last up they will be in celebration mode and not give 2 fucks about the result
  22. Still not convinced by Stewart but he has been pretty decent last month so if he keeps up this form going into the last few weeks of season then if Birmingham would take 250k max I think he would be worth a punt. Devlin will replace AOC and if Kari will accept another 12 months on same terms thats centre half covered with Consi able to cover McKenna. I'd say right back is now a priority given Logan's long standing decline. Cadden would be good but dont think 'Well would sell for anything less than £300k so wont hold my breath. Rooney I'm afraid is now a square peg in a round hole just doesnt suit the way we play any more. Playing him on the left wing is bizarre when we have a perfectly serviceable left winger in GMS. He should be allowed to leave for free as thanks for his service if he can line up another club. Will obviously need replacing.....sadly it would not surprise me for us to give Tony Watt a contract in the summer.
  23. Citeh and barca out champions league. Get in!
  24. Reynolds is a big enough liability at centre back these days. As a leftie, putting him in at right back would be madness........although I suppose it would be a double bluff that Motherwell would surely not have envisaged or prepared for.....
  25. Cadden would be a great signing using him as a wing back we could afford to drop Logan who might show a bit of effort in improving his form if he has a genuine competitor for his place. However he would cost a fee as he is under contract till 2019
