Mcglynn would definitely come, he more or less said as much earlier in the week when he basically wondered out loud what it would be like to manage “a club with money”.
-
Better than Ambrose and Yengi isn't saying much... Lazetic is only 21 so has time on his side. Sokler was never going to be better than "alright" and that's not what we need right now or in the future so getting any kind of cash for him is a good move imo.
-
I'd rather have McGlynn than Robinson, that's for sure. Although I'd also hope that club had potentially more exciting options lined up.
-
Kelle Roos is back… In the SPFL with Killie.
-
I saw Derek Rae on twitter saying that Gisdol also likes his teams to "counter-press". I'm not hugely up to date with the tactical speak these days but it sounds very much like "counter-press" involves getting the ball back quickly when the other team has it? If so, that's not going to work against the teams that like to sit in a frustrate us, we've been down that road too many times already and must know that it isn't the way we need to play.
-
Seems like Celtic are hedging their bets. Must mean there’s at least a possibility of him going somewhere that isn’t Motherwell.
-
Online clowns lashing out at everything and anything out of frustration at how poor we've been. Chairman, captain, (ex) manager, goalie and now CEO all getting it in the neck because social media allows morons an outlet to spout the pish that in the past would only have had an audience of three men and a dog in the pub. It's one thing to criticise players and managers for their performance but when it turns to off the field figures' personal lives then it's a grim state of affairs.

I don't see signing Welsh as desperation at all. He's a good age, coming into his peak years, Scottish and performing well in our division. He's exactly the type of signing we should be making.
-
Oh absolutely, I didn’t mean you. I said to my pal that brother Beaton would never over-rule. Wonders will never cease.
-
You can see where Lutz is coming from when he says we’ve got a squad of decent individuals who haven’t been signed to make a team. None of them are terrible in isolation and many of them would be better in a well-functioning team.
-
Anyone who claims that wasn’t a foul on Mitov is either a hun or posting to fit their pre-conceived agenda. Much like Tuesday, there’s something in this game for us if we can find a wee bit of composure and stop giving away stupid goals.
-
P&J saying that Yengi will be away in Jan, most likely back to English league one on loan unless an Asian club stumps up for his wages on a permanent deal. milanovic also keen on going out on loan, whereas Clarkson might stay now because he did well under Leven last time around.
-
You specifically said he’d “used up his credit”. The first poster said his mistakes now have “far outweighed” his performance in the cup final. Maybe clowns and roasters was a bit harsh but I find it incredible that people hold such an opinion and aren’t just lashing out in frustration and looking for a handy scapegoat. Our centre backs have been absolutely rank for most of this season, that’s never going to help a keeper perform at their best.
-
The guy is the absolute star man in our biggest achievement in 35 years and we've got at least two folk on here (and Lord knows how many clowns on social media) who think a few months of poor performances have tarnished that? For a fan base that prides itself on being so good at backing the team, we really do have just as big a percentage of roasters as every other club.
-
Chucking Clarkson in just because he's "good" is exactly the type of thing Lutz meant when he said we've got lots of good individual players but they don't fit together as a team. It would be super if we had a squad set up to accommodate a player of Clarkson's style and ability but I'm not sure that we do, hence why he's being left out a lot.
-
I know we’ve not been great but we’ve created enough to have got something out of this. Their goals were two horrendous set pieces but other than that they’ve rarely threatened.
-
Our intent and work rate has been much improved. Sadly our defending and attacking have remained garbage.
-
I got the licence out a lucky bag in 1993. Think of the formation as a 4-1-4-1 as that’s what it’ll be when we don’t have the ball.

Mitov devlin milne knoester gyamfi kjartansson polvara shinnie bilalovic nisbet armstrong Doesn’t look too bad?

It drives me nuts these days when you read things like "manager such and such spent ÂŁx thousands/millions in the summer" when, quite clearly, more or less no big clubs give the person in charge of training and picking the team carte blanche to even pick signings, let alone negotiate wages, fees etc. Amorim is the latest example: he didn't spend ÂŁ200m in the summer, Man Utd did. If it had just been up to Amorim, he'd probably have signed four completely different players to the ones the club did. It'll have been similar with Jimmy. The sooner folk get their heads around that being the way football works these days, the better.
-
I think that’ll mean Celtic win the league. O’Neill will get them back to pragmatic football that’ll be enough to overtake hearts and hold off the huns.
-
Fucking hell, Scotland’s greatest ever didn’t cover himself in glory at any of those Hun goals and Theo wasn’t brilliant at the other end either. No way Laudrup meant that.
-
Really sorry it didn't work out for Jimmy but it was probably time. The first few months of last season were a thrilling time to support the Dons and obviously May was incredible, so he should leave with his head held high and with the best wishes of all Reds.
-
Three criteria for me, otherwise I'm reasonably open to whoever the club picks: 1. Not Neil Lennon 2. Not Stephen "Jim Goodwin mk2" Robinson. 3. Not one of these modern idealogues like Nancy, Amorim, Postecoglu, who are willing to lose every game due to their religious adherence to a system. At our level, we need a manager who can work with what they've got and adapt it as necessary depending on the opposition, not some egomaniac who thinks they have football figured out and just need their board to throw a fortune at the right players for the system. Easy...

It’s not supposed to be up the manager - who I suspect will actually be a head coach - to sign players now anyway. That’s what pfannensteil is for. Same for outgoings. No point in a sporting director if you need a manager to buy or sell players. That’s the model we’ve got now so other than not being able to sell the club to prospective signings, the head coach position being vacant shouldn’t prevent progress being made on sales or signings.
