Sums it up well. And no, as a fanbase we'd give McGlynn even less time to build a squad than we have given any other manager recently. I don't imagine that collectively we're much different to most other groups of fans - a winning team on the pitch is really the only thing that keeps us happy. Otherwise no-one's getting any time to do anything before the support turns on them.
-
What is it then?

That was not a good Super Bowl, certainly for the casual viewer but that first half was pretty awful for everyone. Best team won and proved, yet again, that defense more often than not wins championships.

We're not a joke of a club by any realistic assessment. Fans are frustrated at the length of time it's taking to get the right coach - even though we were told at the outset it could take up to six months - and because we got pumped in our last game the feelings are magnified. It'll be fine.
-
I’d be reluctant to believe anything in the media as we’ve become very good at keeping our business secret over the last few years. Frustrating for us as fans but not a bad thing really.

It’s time football became a summer sport in Scotland.

All joking aside, there's an argument that a game tonight might've been beneficial for our new signings before the much more important cup tie on Saturday. So now I guess we're genuinely hoping that one's off as well. -

Something's gone pretty badly wrong if a Saturday game is on doubt on the Wednesday afternoon, especially with the pitch not having been played on for 11 days. -
Better. Devlin and Milanovic excluded for space reasons but I wouldn't be surprised if that's our shape once Leven's gig is done, or maybe even tonight.
-
That's an incredibly poor piece of work from the Scotsman character. In terms of quality chants, "Fuck you Celtic, we're gonna win the league" in the league cup semi last season was excellent for it's defiance and - probable - humour.

Was alright on my laptop but aye, it's away to fuck on a smaller screen

Be prepared for a return to three at the back if we get a German coach... Mitov/Bratveit Morrison/Tobers. Milne/McIntyre. Knoester/Molloy Lobban/Devlin/Milanovic Aremu/Nilsen Geiger/Shinnie Keskinen/Frame/Gyamfi Cameron/Armstrong Nisbet/Lazetic. Olusanya/Bilalovic

While that's definitely true, it seems like we're pretty much in tear it all down and start again mode so one step back to take two forward is going to have to happen eventually. Plus a sizeable proportion of our fans will decide certain players are shite for all sorts of reasons so that's probably going to happen anyway.
-
Our team has been guff all season so I’d be very surprised if playing our new signings makes us much worse. They might play below what their eventual standard will be until they get up to speed but we’ve not exactly lost Pele, Maradona and Willie Miller so I don’t expect too much of a drop off.
-
And, if it's Tom McIntyre we're going for, at least he's an experienced defender who won't be taken by surprise by the physical nature of the Scottish game.

Twitter linking us with 22yo Everton centre back Reece Welch

It's all moot anyway but we wouldn't have had to pay £1.5m for Aouchiche, we could easily have said to Sunderland "nah, not paying that but we'll give you zero pounds instead" and got him that way. A decent player but we seem to have been clearing out the old loans to get the new ones in so on that basis it's no surprise he's away. On paper, a midfield of Aremu, Geiger and Cameron should be an upgrade on what we had before but I'm not sure a better midfield helps our inability to defend set pieces... maybe we're planning on 100% possession every week so that the other team can't even get a corner.

That’s an absurd appointment from livi. Bartley was absolutely woeful as Queen of the South manager in League One, showed absolutely nothing to suggest he’s got what it takes at a higher level.
-
Derek Rae saying it’ll include a “buy option” and that Lutz has been working on the deal for ages.
-
That’s the spirit let’s persevere with the guys who we know have been shite for much of the last 18 months rather than trying something new

I can’t be bothered checking the stats but it seems to me like liverpool do far better when Robertson is on the pitch.
