Feels like it has 0-0 written all over it but I hope to fuck there were some seriously stern words after thursdays performance. Think the most frustrating thing about this team is there are moments when we can score goals like we did on Thursday, but it’s our inability to do any of this with any level of relative consistency. Hoping Swaddon can make it 2 from 2 in all honesty one of the few winnable games and I think we should be going into it with a bit of confidence. Can't argue with any of that I'm still in shock with the lack of cricket, but it would be interesting to see a report on the impact 20/20 has had on test cricket. Yes, Starc was on fire, but fuck me, some of the shots attempted should have been easy blocks. Completely shafted the fans out of at least a day of cricket. I was chatting to an aussie mate and we thought it wouldn't make beyond 3 days. Christ we were wrong.

Was an excellent start to my Monday morning, waking up to this result. Had hopes this was gonna happen, but there seemed to be so many uncertainties re: the line ups of both teams. Looking forward to catching the highlights at lunchtime! Already seen the goal, was a classic Topi goal that we know he can and should score more of.

No idea what to expect today tbh. As you say Al, any kind of win will do and that’s all I hope for. Doesn’t matter how we get it, seems like our confidence is fragile at best so anything to help it improve is all I ask for.

Love cricket. Being in NZ, there's plenty of it and England really didn't look great in their warm up games here. I think it's going to be a whitewash in all honesty. Hopefully they can dig deep and find a few performances though, would be a shame to be a complete waste of a spectacle.
