Serie A

Does anyone here follow Serie A? Might not have the stars of the 90s but for me it's still the most exciting of the top leagues.

Napoli running away with the title this year and might be the first Italian team for a while to have a real chance in the Champions League, but the battle for the top four is a cracker.

Hoping Jose manages to get Roma into the Champions League, would be a game changer for them. They deserved at least a draw against Napoli on Sunday.

Min, that's quite an away game. Must rival a trip to Qarabag.

  • Don’t worry if we get there I will send you regular updates.

  • Properly tearing it up in Serie A. It’s a joy to see. Not only for our connection, but also for seeing the huns greet about never having him    away to set up a separate Bologna thread.

Looks like he’s having a very good season, bologna doing well in 4th, Ferguson scoring goals and has captained the side a few times. Seems a real favorite there too. Fair to compare him to a Souness type midfielder, tough tackling box to box type??

I don't think it's fair to compare anyone to that Hun prick.

What amuses me is reading the huns that are still trying to maintain he’s not the best in his family. Absolute wallpapers 😂 Barry was fucking shite. How he got so many caps for Scotland is a sad indictment on the state of the Scotland set up at the time. The jealousy is hilarious.

I'd put Ferguson senior in the MacGregor tim mould. He had about 25 caps where he was anonymous, like he was playing within himself, but at times he was excellent. Almost always better when you see him in person rather than on the telly too, as his reading of the game and positioning was really top class. Very different types of player (Lewis and Barry the Hun) though. Lewis is more akin to McGinn, Barry more like Jack if we're comparing with current Scotland players.

Barry Ferguson had good games for Scotland.

No doubting that. But he was also very average a lot of the time. He also never tested himself abroad (non uk) which kinda proves your point of playing within a comfort zone. Lewis is above that already.  Don’t think you’ll ever convince me he was a great player 😬

Lewis not in the squad yesterday, no sign of injury or suspension. Transfer imminent??

Ramadani vs Ferguson today, bologna two up in the first half. Neither have scored, not sure if Ferguson is captain, he was last week.

Ferguson was captain.

Lewis Ferguson adding to our sell on fee when Bologna sell him in the Summer.

Yup, captain Ferguson with a nice volley for the winner. Italy couldn’t have gone any better for him. 20-30 million the talk with most rumors saying juventus want him to replace pogba. What’s our sell on, 20%?

Whatever it is, it should be enough to get us out of the championship at the second or third attempt.

That’s once we have used it to pay off the contracts for Morris, Richardson, McGarry and Gueye.

Morris might be quite useful as a sub in the championship. I think we've found our answer to poor recruitment actually. Just keep getting relegated until our recruits are at a level where they can look good.

Bologna’s game against Monza on 13th being shown on ITV.

Looks like there will be a Serie A game a week from now until the end of the season.

Looks like bologna boss Thiago Motta is on his way to juventus, and I’d say from that Lewis Ferguson very likely to follow him. Show us the money!!

That's bloody good!

I've been watching a lot of serie A the past few seasons.  It's such a fun league

Being reported that Ferguson is out for the season and will miss the Euros.

Disappointing for lad missing Euros and bad news for Dons as probably means no summer transfer so no sell on fee.

Lewis Ferguson been linked with Napoli. They've just signed De Bruyne, and McTominay is having the time of his life there. Be a good move for him, and if Napoli can find a way to fit McTominay and Ferguson into the same midfield (and Gilmour) then it can only help Scotland.

There was an article a while back where Conti talked about wanting Ferguson last summer in addition to Gilmour and McTominay. Be a great move for him.

What's our sell-on clause if he does move? Was it 20% or something like that?

15%

So Bologna's reported valuation is £25M, and he's contracted til 2028. I wouldn't be surprised if Napoli bidded £30M for him. If that we're true and successful, we could be be up for £4.5M. Tasty!

Can we not just do £40m, £6m is a much cleaner number to receive? Easier on the accountant.
