Jute Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 Hibs have been bought by a US based business man. All debt has been cleared and the assets (stadium, ticket office and training facility) all transferred to club ownership. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibernian/live-hibs-announce-new-owner-as-ronald-gordon-buys-out-sir-tom-farmer-1-4957448 Suspect this might scupper any interest we have in McNulty and possibly even McGeouch. RicoS321 Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 The Yanks are piling into our game. What's the deal? Be interesting to see the short term moves. Certainly, they've got a great infrastructure and a very good city centre ground, so they should - in theory - be way ahead of us now that their debt is cleared. Quote
Ten Caat Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 Apparently the guy is Scots born though based in the States. As Rico says....with a newish stadium now paid for they should be able to plough much more cash into the team now. Should see them become top team in Edinburgh for the foreseeable future and be able to challenge ourselves and sevco for second/third. Let's hope Cormack decides to dip into his pocket sooner than we expect Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 If mcginn goes to man u for 50 mil hibs will get 15% according to my hibby pal. Quote

Guy himself was educated in Peru, the US and Australia. Money comes from media companies involved in Spanish language broadcasting rights in the US. Quote

Jute Posted June 10, 2023 Author Report Posted June 10, 2023 Sticking this in here as to lazy to look for another thread. Hibs going to struggle to replace his goals. Quote
BigAl Posted June 10, 2023 Report Posted June 10, 2023 They'll have Boyle back to win and convert several questionable penalties though Quote
Jute2 Posted November 12, 2025 Report Posted November 12, 2025 Bill Foely and Black Knights selling up interest in Hibs. Quote

TheDonbytheDee Posted Wednesday at 07:03 Report Posted Wednesday at 07:03 Announced a £5million loss for the last financial year, on top of £7million from the year before, which gives them an £18 million loss over the last four periods. They also have a wages to turnover ratio of 74%, which is down from 79%. Will have the Bowie transfer money for this year, but despite grounds for 'cautious optimism' it doesn't make good reading. Bukta Bertie Posted Wednesday at 07:14 Report Posted Wednesday at 07:14 Foreign ownership of our clubs should be outlawed and yes I would still believe that if some sugar daddy wanted to invest heavily in the Aberdeen Football Club Ltd. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Quote
