Hibs Take over

Hibs have been bought by a US based business man. All debt has been cleared and the assets (stadium, ticket office and training facility) all transferred to club ownership.

Suspect this might scupper any interest we have in McNulty and possibly even McGeouch.

The Yanks are piling into our game. What's the deal?

Be interesting to see the short term moves. Certainly, they've got a great infrastructure and a very good city centre ground, so they should - in theory - be way ahead of us now that their debt is cleared.

Apparently the guy is Scots born though based in the States. As Rico says....with a newish stadium now paid for they should be able to plough much more cash into the team now. Should see them become top team in Edinburgh for the foreseeable future and be able to challenge ourselves and sevco for second/third.

Let's hope Cormack decides to dip into his pocket sooner than we expect

If mcginn goes to man u for 50 mil hibs will get 15% according to my hibby pal.

According to Scotsman new owner was born in Peru and connection to Scotland comes from his Grandfather who emigrated to Peru. Guy himself was educated in Peru, the US and Australia. Money comes from media companies involved in Spanish language broadcasting rights in the US.

Sticking this in here as to lazy to look for another thread.

Hibs going to struggle to replace his goals.

They'll have Boyle back to win and convert several questionable penalties though 😉

A few trips to Leith and they want their money back? No real surprise.

Announced a £5million loss for the last financial year, on top of £7million from the year before, which gives them an £18 million loss over the last four periods.

They also have a wages to turnover ratio of 74%, which is down from 79%.

Will have the Bowie transfer money for this year, but despite grounds for 'cautious optimism' it doesn't make good reading.

Foreign ownership of our clubs should be outlawed and yes I would still believe that if some sugar daddy wanted to invest heavily in the Aberdeen Football Club Ltd.

It's a disaster waiting to happen.
