Aberdeen V Burnley

Thursday 26th July 2018 19.45

:ultras:

No news of TV coverage for the home tie. The away tie is on BT which begs the question why is the away leg on TV and the home game is not. Nothing on RED TV International about coverage (yet).

Anyway this game is the real acid test for our team although we played okay in the friendly match last night this is a different kettle of fish. Would be good if we go into the second leg with a goal or two advantage.

Prediction Aberdeen 2 Burnley 1

So, I’m assuming

Lewis

Logan-Devlin-McKenna-Hoban

Ball-Shinnie

GMS-Ferguson-McGinn

Cosgrove

Didn’t see that coming. Guess forrester and Gleeson not fully fit??

fucking honking

Although may well be a hoban-Devlin-McKenna back 3???

fk it cosgrove hatrick

Just hope it’s not the most common Celtic and Rangers tactics. Have a go against a team still in preseason!

seems considine would have started at lb wtf seems shinnie will be cm this season

tommie h lb

Anyone likely to be in the live chat this afternoon?

FFS REDTV  :hammer:

Can finally access the site.

Totally agree, and most of the Burnley fans have been quite modest if anything.Whole build up has been quite low key too.

Not usually ready for fitba at this time of year, but its quite an intriguing tie, totally unpredictable.  COYR

Spot on

Let’s get it right up that cunt Alastair Campbell who is at the game.

COYR.

Sounds great so far?

Agreed, would like to see us put a bit more pressure on them again. Don't really look troubled

Great first half. Solid throughout the team and Cosgrove is giving their centre backs a beasting.

Solid first half. Problem is, the more we try to play the more space we give them so going at them leaves us vulnerable. I think tactics have been spot on so far. Lennon is their danger man and I'd stick GMS on his side so that Hoben (or Logan) always has a second player to help.

We've had two or three scares but so far so good.

dom ball  very good

Sam Vokes changed the game when he came on. Up until that point we won absolutely everything in the air. Still in the tie.

cosgrove isnt going to score goals.. ferguson looked ok we need footballers in cm so for me should be gleeson ball and or ferguson forrester, shinnie should be lb but tell you what devlin mckenna v good

Disappointing to concede but at least this rules out the 'park the bus for 90mins' tactic in the second leg

Just hope its a repeat of last seasons trip to serbia and not the previous seasons trip to Slovenia

I thought McKenna and Devlin were outstanding, big Vokes showed his quality and strength on the goal. Put Shinnie at left back when Gleeson and Forrester are fully fit and we've a pretty tidy keeper and back 4. Ball was solid. Thought we were a bit too long ball at times, pointless after Cosgrove went off.

Devlin m.o.m. for me, Ball, McGinn and GMS not far behind.

Bad goal to lose, McKenna got a bit bullied by Vokes, seemed to lose sight of the ball.

Overall draw probably a fair result, can't see us progressing now but would be delighted if the boys can prove me wrong

need a striker a proper striker well you what some of those balls in the box .. rooney
