Scotland squad

No Shinnie or Christie???

Wtf Strachan.

I agree we should keep the same team who should've beaten England but bringing in Whittaker and excluding them?

Thought Al had stopped going to games by then?

  • Aberdeen winning the Scottish Cup and Scotland qualifying for the World Cup within six months of each other, that's the dream. And yet, within those six months, both Jimmy Thelin and Steve Clarke

Difficult to say though, the lack of match sharpness was very clear, McLean, Fleck, Armstrong and McTominay especially. The next set of games will give a much better indication. Seems like Clarke wants to play a back five, but McKenna is the only reliable centre half in the squad at the moment. Think we'll really struggle if we get past Israel, but we could well fluke our way to a tournament if we just avoid getting covid.

I'm not sure the Czech C team was as bad as made out, and they had six players from the local team playing so it was effectively a home game for most of them in familiar surroundings.

So it's a good result, not the greatest performance but who cares.

result matters not pretty to watch, Mctominay doesnt work at CB though Mckenna did ok

Fit aboot the lad Hornby? Any good? It's been a while since we've had a 6ft5 fucker up front to hoof it to. Get him in.

I think he actually signed for Reims. That's why I was mentioning him, as I'd not really heard much about him before.

On loan according to SFA site with squad details.

U21 team for today. 2 Dons and 1 ex don starting.

4 dons in the squad. The most from one team? You'd think they'd put the teams on the squad list. Dicks.

0-0 at half time. Scotland with most of the ball but no cutting edge.

Fit telly's it on?

SFA site has a link.

Finished 1-0 to Scotland. Alan Campbell with the goal.

Cheers, just got the highlights at the end there. Decent result. The sort of game the big team would fuck up.

What the fuck went wrong with Jordan Rhodes? A few year back he was scoring for fun. I thought he would have been in the Scotland squad for years the way he was going. Over 150 goals in in less than 300 games for Huddersfield and Blackburn. Moved to Middlesbrough, Shef Wed and Norwich. He's played 120 games with the three and only scored 30 goals. But with the shortage of strikers you would think he would still be a option. No?

Armstrong

Tierney

Christie

Anyone else ?

Being pretty unenthusiastic about Scotland for several years now I could hardly have told you who was in the squad anyway.

Just those three, but I'm guessing all Tims will be removed ahead of the most important game in the world the following weekend as a precautionary measure.

McKenna, Palmer & Burke withdraw from squad with injuries.

Might need to dig out my boots?

Call up for big ANDY!

Definitely. Better than some of the other pish. It's really the right side that we're struggling for though. We don't have a right back, which is bizarre, but I'm guessing we'll go for a back three. In which case, I'm surprised that Kerr at St Johnstone hasn't been given a shout. Gallagher isn't having a great season by all accounts, I'd have thought Kerr would be that little bit better. If we quickly sign Hoban on a 6 year deal with citizenship thrown in, we could be onto something.
