Mr Goodwin likes a wee cup shock

Being “hailed” as utd’s worst ever result. Jim Goodwin, what a guy.

Was it a two year contract they gave him 😉

Can we get Goodwin to manage Celtic and then Rangers too?

Steven Fletcher's departing words as he ripped up the final year of his Tannadice contract: “I know this club will be back where it belongs with the group of players that remain here under Jim’s guidance”

I'm still incredulous that he got the initial short term deal let alone a further 2 years after failing to save them!

First they get relegated, then they get beaten by Spartans, and now they've signed Louis Moult.

Cant't be easy being a Utd fan right now.

After losing to Spartans they get beaten by Thistle tonight 2-1.

Oh utd, never change 🤣

Goodwin could be binned before the league even commences.

One of the mystifying things in football is how managers get worse over time. You'd think they'd improve with experience but Goodwin isn't the first to just seemingly get go on a downwards spiral.

Mark McGhee at one point was highly rated. Now he's a joke figure.

You can't say it's an age thing as Goodwin is still a young coach.

Could it be that some of them get found out and cannot adapt their style once they have.

A guy with a record like Jim gives a dressing room the ready made excuse they're looking for when things are tough.

Probably not a worse manager than before but perception of him from players is probably completely different and they produce less with that safety net of a diddy manager to blame.

Well at Aberdeen he completely changed his style, which was the problem.

He went from an unspectacular but generally pretty solid 3-5-2 at St Mirren, to trying to be a 4-3-3 attacking maestro at Pittodrie.

I would have thought Goodwin would have learned from his mistakes at Aberdeen, the china in a bull shop approach of telling experienced players they can't be coaches (Brown/Mulgrew), doing the whole "I only want players who want to be here" (Considine/Bates/Levitt/Fletcher) and tearing into the rest of the squad.

But apparently not. Appears he likes upsetting the dressing room, then replacing the dressing room.

That's a sneaky use of links not being able to show decimals.

I did same thing saw the link thought fucking hell how did it get that bad then read article and realised not as bad. That said it does show danger of relegation and why we have to avoid it.

I'm not going to post the link as it was the sun but utd have cut our allocation to 1800.  Basically on the advice of the police because of what happened the last time we played there with Goodwin getting a vodka bottle chucked at him and the utd staff had coins hit them.  Which is fair enough I suppose.  Slow hand clap to the fucking melts who took part in that 👏👏👏

The reduction of Scottish always supports continues at pace then. It’s fucking embarrassing. At least this one is the only time it’s remotely fair.

Worst part is Manc best I can tell the tickets won't be sold at all

Frustrating that actions of a few clowns have put us in this position. United also being punished as we would have sold a load more tickets so drop in income from then.

Aye we definitely have a few total melts in the stands at the moment. The prized neeps who hurled abuse at a disabled St Mirren fan being prime example.
