EE: Maguire can be next Booth or Jess for Aberdeen FC

‘Maguire can be next Booth or Jess for Aberdeen FC’

Chris to hit heights, says Craig Brown

ABERDEEN FC boss Craig Brown today tipped Chris Maguire to hit the same dizzy heights which Eoin Jess and Scott Booth reached in their playing days.

Brown believes rising star Maguire is one of the best talents to come through Aberdeen FC’s youth system since Jess and Booth burst on to the scene nearly 22 years ago.

He should know, because the former Scotland boss capped Jess and Booth at Under-21 and full international level.

No chance.

Sorry but were you at the game MBT?  I was and he was average, his movement at times was bad, running in to the box in a straight line  with no real despire, he took his goals well TBF but like I said I've seen him play much better against better sides which says it all really.

What does it say?

TF, I'm pointing out facts, I've seen him play the majority of his Aberdeen games and todays performance wasn't up to much.

Ah, you've slipped into the Millertime mode of presenting opinions as facts there Mini.

Mode = fucking idiocy

So you think yesterday was his best ever game for Aberdeen then?  Fair enough.

I thought he played very well yesterday!

I think it's a bit like chroming your mitral valve.

Yeah and your post helps it how exactly?

Surely he should be offered a new deal regardless of whether you rate him or not? Brown rates him and I trust his judgement more than the haters on here.

I thought he had an attitude problem when he was younger but seeing him now knocking his pan in chasing the ball along the opposition backline, the way he reacted to Scotland getting knocked out by Iceland and seeing that he's put on a bit of beef clearly realising that he was getting outmuscled too easily show me that's in the past. IMO.

Exactly, he needs to be signed up imo. Whether he will sign is another thing, maybe depends on how the team does this season.

I think it is very unlikely he will stay.

Were you there yesterday?  He has bulked up but he is still far too lightweight, easily brushed off the ball and still pulls out of tackles from time to time.

But just how is that addressing the lederhosen dispute?

What does being there yesterday have to do with anything?

I didn't say "after yesterdays game".

I never said that you did, was just asking if you were there yesterday, nothing wrong with that, is there?

Not much but it was going to lead on to another question, but you ruined that with your tactics.

Using the Ruy Lopez was his undoing.

+1

Maguire gave a very solid and professional performance yesterday - to get a hattrick in any match is always special. Particularly as they have been in short supply for Aberdeen in recent years.

I didn't see much of this 'prima donna' attitude against East Fife at all yesterday. He sprung the offside trap a number of times to make attacking runs on goal, and sure he was caught a few times but he did very well with the chances that he created, and those which were supplied to him.

It is good to see that Brown recognises that Maguire is the kind of talent that he'd like to keep at Pittodrie, praising both the youth setup and the player himself.

Keep up the good work lad.

I've no real input.... just want to be part of this thread before it goes classic.

Also, I'd like to randomly post a picture of Kelly Brook looking all fuckable.

So, yeah... that's all I've got.

Some "me time".

To write some jokes, yeah?

First of all i think his performances since brown took over back up EVERYTHING i have said about the twat since the start of the season, where was all this effort when Mcghee was in charge? told me exactly what sort of human being he was, and exactly what sort of proffesional he was. If i was the manager i wouldnt be waiting to see if he did the same to me.

Anyone AT the game would have seen his reaction in the first 5 minutes when vernon "correctly enough in my view" went for goal when only the keeper to beat (something bebo did himself 5 mins later) spent the next 5 minutes sulking after throwing a massive hissy girly fit at vernon for not passing.

mind you, you would have seen that sitting infront of your laptops  ;D ;D ;D

like i said plain for all to see hes not interested in the club nor the fans (going by his self idulgent celibrating) soon he will realise he is not as good as he thinks he is, and there isnt a group of clubs lining up for him.

His interview about being left out of the scotland squad  earlier in the week was utter fucking shambles and if anyone can defend that then they are the dicks. No wonder he is never picked for the first team.

Cant wait till the little cunt fucks off to the lower leagues where he belongs.
