It’s certainly a bold move but they’ve obviously had his replacement lined up and expect the new guy to have a higher ceiling than O’Neill. It’s a bit like replacing a player who hasn’t done anything wrong with another one who you think will just be that bit better. We’re used to that approach with players but it’s very unorthodox to do the same to a manager.

If they have sacked him after getting promoted then it’s outrageous but reading the article it sounds like this might be a mutual decision. 

Watched this earlier as it popped up on youtube.  Maybe some of you have see it before, if not, it's great viewing.  Could never imagine anything like this being allowed to happen nowadays.  Clough must have been a brilliant soap opera back in the day.

Aye,watched it a few years ago,its a great watch.Think I'm right in saying that they didnt let Clough,or was it Revie,know that the other was coming on the programme? Cloughie was some guy,pity he ended up the way he did

Asked the ABZ podcast guys about him, and them being Norwich fans too, are firmly against him coming to us. Very much feel he is on a downward trajectory.

He built a good Sunderland side before taking on the basket case that is Stoke. I think he would be good choice if we do need to make a change.
