Managers in England

Utterly disposable, Brian Laws and Darren Ferguson binned today.

16 out of 90 odd clubs binned their manager this season! McGhee has a wikipedia record, got to be in with a shout to get sacked too?

Ryan Mason has been sacked by West Brom. Please let him get the Celtic job, with a name like that.

  • Absolutely shocking Seem to have ideas above their station. Happily see them relegated next season

Yon weird-looking guy at Forest looking like the next one for the chop. Taking them from bottom of the championship to the premier league not good enough apparently, even with 22 new signings to try and build into a team.

Would be ridiculous if Forrest sacked Cooper after what he did last season. The huge number of players brought in during the Summer means he needs time to find his best team. After getting them promoted last season he surely deserves to be given more than a couple of months to do that.

Cooper seems to have been given the dreaded vote of confidence. Looks like they'll need to start winning within the next couple of games. Mental.

The world of football management is indeed a fickle business.

Got to ask what more could they realistically expected from Cooper. Survival in top league was always going to number one objective for Forest.

Think it would be a scandalous decision if they punted Cooper at this early stage of the season, particularly having backed him yto the extent they did in the last transfer window

Who'd have thought replacing 72% of the team that got you promoted would cause any problems?

Far from being sacked, Cooper has just signed a new three year contract.

Expensive pay off in february

Not even close.

I assume he's been offered the Liverpool job like we were told would happen?

Gerrard - 37 league games (Won 12, Drew 8, Lost 17)

Goodwin so far - 22 league games (Won 7, Drawn 6, Lost 9)

Interesting comparison.

Not really...

Villa appoint Unai Emery

Southampton eventually sack Hasenhuttl.

  • 2 months later...

Everton appoint Sean Dyche.

Great appointment on paper. Not sure if evertons problems extend beyond him though. Helluva job in front of him.

Got hard job a head of him as large number players who have been signed by 6 different managers all of whom seem to have had different styles of play. Will be difficult getting a team together.

Probably to nobody’s surprise Leeds sack their manager.

just keep him away from Pittodrie

Another that falls in to the no surprise box Nathan Jones sacked by Southampton.

Should clarify that while results and chucking the players under the bus in recent interviews make his sacking no surprise I did think he would do well there and I am surprised it has gone bad so quickly.

Crystal Palace pull the trigger on Vieira.

According to the Guardian today Roy Hodgson is on his way back to them.

Thought Woy had retired. Suppose he might steady ship until summer.

Guardian were correct as Roy Hodgson back at Palace.

Probably to nobody’s surprise Conte sacked by Spurs.
