Brighton away will be a cracking trip. I'm back in the Uk but at a wedding no far from there. Shame it wasn't on the Sunday.

31st July away to Brighton.

Sign me up!

Ok stupid question but what is the closest airport to Brighton ?

Time to check out cheap flights me thinks.

This will be a bank holiday weekend.

Mods, rockers and Dandies all in town

To answer my own question it is Gatwick

Fly from Glasgow on Sat 31st, return Sun 1st Aug is £68 return with Sleazyjet

The train to London from Luton goes all the way to Brighton too, takes about 2 hours though.

I'm going for the weekend in London + daytrip to Brighton. It's the winners choice.

BA fly to gatwick from Glasgow and aren't much more expensive usually.  Gatwick Express goes to Brighton direct (I think)

In.

(unlike most of the Brighton population...)

The train to London is quite cheap and it cant cost much to get to Brighton from there...A cheap B&B in brighton. Sorted

Can get returns with a railcard for about £10 usually, no more than £15. I can't wait for this (maybe thats an exaggeration), but I'll probably sack Tamworth off now as this will be a better day out. For folk flying to gatwick, its on the same line as the line to Brighton, so you can pretty much get an express service to Brighton from there

Im in too!

Mayb go to East End, went to Dundee last year and was bored so may give it a miss.

2 more confirmed on RedWeb:

Saturday 17th July v Fraserburgh at Bellslea Park, KO 3pm

Sunday 18th July v Peterhead at Balmoor Stadium, KO 2pm

Might head through to Fraserburgh, it's their 100th anniversary they're celebrating.

I see McGhee is trying to fix up another pre season game with Oxford United while they're down.

What day?

What day?

Thursday 29th, I think.

Yas I'm down on the Thursday morning.

Could these not all have been a week earlier? I leave for Cyprus on Friday 30th. I'll probably head up to the black country for Tamworth, I would have liked to go to Brighton for a rendition of "We can see you holding hands". Fuck going to Vale but Poxford is only an hour and a bit along the road so, if true, it would be very tempting to go despite having to get up at 5 the next morning to get to Heathrow.

It's all very inconvenient.

Have a word with McGhee. If you agree to a short term contract and are better than Mark Kerr he'll bend over backwards to help you out.

Here's hoping Milne doesn't get any ideas from Poxford about cost savings for the new stadium.

Think if you've ever sat in the fair play stand at Tannandice that Milne doesn't need any ideas about cost savings when it comes to building stands.

Tannadice is sheer luxury compared to the Tesco value stadium in Paisley

  • 4 weeks later...

Saw some of the prices for the pre season games

10 and 5 for Brighton

7 and 3 for The Broch
