‘Pittodrie pitch could wreck my Aberdeen FC dream’

Paul Marshall fears for new deal

PAUL Marshall today revealed he fears the Pittodrie pitch could cost him a new Aberdeen FC deal.

 

The 20-year-old signed in the January transfer window from Manchester City until the end of the season.

 

But he admitted the uneven surface at Aberdeen FC has so far prevented him from showing his best for the Reds.

 

“At the moment the pitch is very poor,†he said.

 

“It is very hard to play the ball on the ground and I haven’t been able to show how well I can play football because the pitch is so bad."

He hasnt shown to be able to play football on other grounds with better pitches..

If a footballer can only (for benefit of the doubt) play on a surface maintained to a snooker table standard then he's no fuckin use to us and probably has no appreciable talent anyway.

I saw plenty evidence at United away in January.  Looked a very tidy footballer with some neat touches, also set up Mulgrew's goal with a nice pass.
