mizer
Just read in the Daily Star that McGhee has offered Drinkell and Mulgrew a contact for one year which will make him by far the highest paid player at the club. He now has to meet the board tomorrow to see if they agree. Is it just me or would the board not have to sanction any such offer before it was made? Kowalski
A one year contract? FFS.

BobbyBiscuit
Drinkell? Aye, he must be well past his best.
Ajja
Mulgrew does not have a wide enough range of talents to be a top earner at Aberdeen. If he was to become one then it just raises expectations of other players. Would be very very surprised if this move was made. Sounds like nonsense. BobbyBiscuit
Mulgrew does not have a wide enough range of talents to be a top earner at Aberdeen. My thoughts exactly Ajja. A goalscoring (of sorts) defender is excellent to have, but that has to be balanced up with the ability to defend.
maverick sheep
Exactly. Better using the wages on a defender and a striker instead of a one trick poney. Considering he is currently playing for the best offer he can get and putting himself in the shop window, his performance on Tues suggests that he'll always be a liability defensively. Certainly not good enough to be a top earner. I'd rather we had no threat from free kicks if it meant we shored up at the back and had any capability of scoring from open play (and taking corners).
