Now personally I'd have liked to see Tam Dalyell go over with Galloway, because he's like the grand master of surly Scottish bastards. He makes Galloway look like Mother Teresa. I doubt the American Senate would have survived an encounter with Tam.

 

Galloway's  opponents have tried to smear him repeatedly and have failed miserably. Even when he puts himself in front of a hostile US Senate on their own terms. Makes it pretty clear that the smears are just that, bullshit smears.

 

And he gives the Palestinians a voice in a pro-Israeli west and media.

What? The boy on QT last night was excellent. I love a swimmer against the tide. Just cos he's got an upper crust English background, doesn't mean everything that comes out of his mouth was shite. Was it the "feral children" reference that got your backs up? The buck toothed lassie objected to the reference, being as thick as mince herself, but I wouldn't have thought you three would have sympathised with that? I missed about a quarter of it last night but I was "get in there posh twit with ridiculous specs" whenever he got a chance. I thought he was hilariously frank and made the best points of the whole lot of them, particularly with regard to Brown flying to Afghanastan the day after Chilcott.

 

Is it a case that you hear his accent, see his posh mannerisms and his eccentricity and that's all you need to make your decision, sitting there despising him because he's not from the same fishing village as you? Were you blinded to his words by the mannerisms of the man? Are you purveyors of style over substance? What did he say that makes you want to punch his face in? I missed it.
