Assuming the strategy is to lull Kilmarnock into a false sense of superiority, then wheel out the real footballers in the 2nd half.

Pretty painful so far. I’m not a fan of nisbet in any formation except 4-2-3-1 with three attacking players around him and he’s a penalty box poacher. Right now getting little to nothing from our two forwards and so much is expected from aremu and Armstrong. Add two wide players who have offered little so far this season.

We just don’t have very good players sadly. Good game to see what we really are.

Kilmarnock have scored twice as many goals as us in the league this season and we haven’t scored since those two lucky goals in the opening game.

Sad state of affairs when I think Cadden is one of our better players, and not just today….

Aremu get a lot of the ball which is good, but would love to know the % of possession he loses. Edit, not just aremu, everyone I suppose. We give it away so much.

Halftime and it remains St Mirren B 0 - Kilmarnock 0 in the opening round of the Relegation Cup.

We rely so much on Armstrong, and he’ll run out of gas around 60-70 mins given he played 90 v Celtic. We are not quick, sharp, or aggressive.

I’d take off a forward and sadly bring on olusanya. Move smith to 10……not because smith is a 10, but probably our most creative player with the exception of Armstrong. I’d actually take off both forwards and put on Mouloua, he’s looked much fitter and sharper of late.

Little to no inspiration on the bench. I assume Ronan injured again?

The lack of movement when we get the ball is chronic. Everyone stands still. No-one is trying to move the Killie defence.

There's been a couple of times Smith and Armstrong have tried to play a one-two, that's the only time really we've put a move together.

I presume Smith only has one half in him at the moment, maybe an hour, so sadly he'll be off soon. Likely Armstrong too since he played the full 90 in midweek. So expect Ronan and Briedl on soon.

Edit: didn't realise Ronan injured. I don't care who we throw on then.

Shit first 30, thought we looked nervous more than anything else. You could argue there was marginal improvement in the last 15 minsoof the first half and Yogane was unlucky not to score. Defo need to improve in the second or it's going to start getting a bit toxic I think. If Killie were to take the lead Robinson is going to get pelters as it does feel as if patience is not in fee at supply in the main at the moment.

Subbing Nisbet????? The only person who scores for us. If he's not injured, has there been a fight at half time? It doesn't strike me as good management either starting Yoganne then taking him off at half time 2 games in a row. Goal machine Olusanya to the rescue
