The.Moog Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Attitude has been much better, but an affa scrappy game. Look more solid formation wise, back 3 has been ok, Molloy been good. Created two good chances, but we’ve not really got a grip in the middle, or got forward too well though Geiger has looked busier and more energetic. Still an affa lot of aimless punts up to nobody though, confidence or a lack of ability- maybe both. Could go either way this… Quote
Panda Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago We've stopped Falkirk playing, which might seem negative but in our current state is what we need to do. Their only threat is shots from the edge of the box, but generally we're defending in numbers, have defended set pieces well, and haven't been opened up on the break which we often have been this season. Going forward, Lazetic is working his socks off but nothing happening for him. We've not really got Nisbet into the game. But, this is like an Aberdeen-St Mirren game, but in this instance we're St Mirren/Falkirk, where we'd be struggling to break down the opposition before being hit with a sucker punch. Quote
tlg1903 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Sluggish game so far but agree with Panda stopping them play was priority no1 given the context of both clubs season. Lazetic starting raised an eyebrow but he's done OK so far. Quote
Panda Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I'd take off Morrison and put on Nelson. He can step into the midfield and give us a bit more control in there. We just look a little short in the middle at times. Geiger the new Lee Richardson in that he's being targeted by the referees? He's getting thumped about that midfield and not getting any free-kicks. Panda Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago It's taken me to the 70th minute to notice Falkirk don't have any shirt sponsors, which is unusual. Subs: Looks like Robinson wanted more energy, but it's come at the cost of any creativity. Quote
Radiored Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago YYYAAAAAAASSSSS!!!!! .... Hahahahaha!! ... Nisbet ... 1-0 Quote

Mentorred Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Scrappy goal but I will take it. Don't care that it has not been a great watch. Phase one was clearly get points to avoid the relegation dog fight Quote
irnbru1903 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago A point closer to safety which is better than this team deserve. Not one of our central defenders today should be a first choice pick. Ever. Quote
The.Moog Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Well, if phase one involves making us harder to beat, then that was achieved today. Soft centre exposed YET AGAIN though. Molloy wasn’t bad overall, but that goal showed why he just won’t do - he’s just not big, strong or physical enough to be a centre half in this league. Geiger’s best performance, energetic, got about the park, moved the ball well. Mitov was better, as was Morrison. Well done Nisbet for the goal, forced that out of nothing. A mistake like that was always likely to be the only way we’d score as we created little again. Cameron & Palaversa were honking when they came on mind, didn’t help at all. Draw probs fair, we’re just not a good team. Shithouse it until the end of the season, stay up, then clear out the squad and start again - again… Edited 2 hours ago by The.Moog 1 Quote
BigAl Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Listening on Radio Scotland to after match open all mics and the dinosaur known as Packy Bonnar asks if Robinson's goal is to avoid the play off place or achieve top six. How the fuck does the licence fee go to pay folk like this who literally have no knowledge of Scottish football outside the arse cheeks. Guess I would have taken a point pre match and still probably would have until the point of going ahead Ended up feeling like two points dropped Quote
The.Moog Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago It was two points dropped in the end. Seeing out a game like that from 85 minutes on is basic football 101. You can’t rely on those CH’s though, not ever… Quote
Mentorred Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago 1 point out of 9 against Falkirk.....Progress Quote

Mentorred Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago We paid Aberdeen prices for bottom 6 players. Recruitment team really let us down. I think the effort was there but some of them are just not Aberdeen quality 1 Quote

He's also an accident waiting to happen when he has the ball at his feet - nearly gave away a goal in the first half and sold Lobban a hospital pass in the second. Agree about Cameron and Palaversa and you could add in Armstrong. 1 Quote

Unlike Molloy he’s got the size, but he lacks aggression & physicality and he’s frankly shite in the air. I do feel for him a bit, as it’s the club that’s tried to turn him into a CH, and while he has the physical attributes he lacks the mental and technical ones. I assume Robinson knows this too and come the summer we’ll see at least 2 new CH’s coming in (assuming Tobers gets fit and Knoester is retained) I’d absolutely love Pollock to be one of them. Everything we need back there that boy… Edited 1 hour ago by The.Moog Quote
