Summer 2026 Transfer Window

Firstly no intention to wind up Rico ( but it is a bonus) by starting this more than forty eight hours ahead of January window closing BUT as a squad we are all over the fucking place and even at this early stage I would imagine we all would have opinions on what need to happen over the summer.

Appreciate that certain things might be addressed in the remaining forty eight odd hours of the winter one BUT given our performance to date, coupled to us being manager less, I wouldn't stake any money on it

Thoughts lads and lassies

If we bought him, he publicly apologised, took out a two page spread in the P&J outlining all the different ways Huns are pricks, then did a penitent walk of shame from Union St to Pittodrie, I’d

Also, it's good that Besuijen's 10 year contract has finally come to an end.

That's a bit harsh on McGinn mate.

Yes, I thought that as I was writing it, I was exaggerating to make the point! What I should have said is that McGinn would go three games without creating something, before being sublime. McGinn was very good at doing the work required, covering back and maintaining position, so when he had a day when he wasn't creating, he never sold us at the other end. I think that Miller might do that, to a degree, but I don't think that he'll get the time to do so, as we'll simply chop and change rather than play someone into form in that role.

I’d be really wary of touching any players at Falkirk. They are an exceptionally well coached side and so doing brilliantly with players that you wouldn’t expect to be doing as well as they are. There are big risks in plucking players out of those kind of set ups and expecting them to play at the same level. Robinson might have a strong coaching ability too but that’s still to be seen.

I’d say the same about Motherwell. Very well coached but are those players good enough to step into a different set up and play as well? I’d take Said from them as he’s exactly the kind of player we need and I think he is maverick enough for it not to be just good coaching. The others I’m not sure.

Good interview with him on Red TV. For the second time though, he’s admitted that he’s developed the more “experienced” side of his game, eg buying free kicks (paying tribute to Shinnie’s ability in this dodge). No doubt some twat at the SPFL, or a twisted referee will have seen this and draw the attention of other refs to it to our disadvantage.
Good luck min, Findlay min.

According to The Sun (I know, I know) It could be a case of Martin Boyle at Pittodrie next season 🤔

Player trying to engineer a new deal? He'll certainly help Marshall develop his diving game.

That's funny Rico

His diving was the first thing I thought about when I saw about this

He has already been told he isn't getting a new Hibs deal

Boyle is finished - definitely sounds like someone trying to flaunt themselves but given our transfer history who knows

Definitely agent talk then. Although he's always been a Dandy. Even when he was in his oppressing women/hanging gays phase.

P&J got an article about it too. Apparently Dave tried to sign him a few years ago.

Boyle is not the player he once was cos, well,  pace but if he's prepared to come for a reasonable wage (which he might, cos, dons fan)  he knows where the back of the net is.  I wouldn't hate it.

Potentially useful as an impact player late on in games but he hasn’t got it in him to be a starter. As said already, on the cheap as a squad filler then yes, otherwise leave him be.

….oh and a hair cut should be part of the deal.

Few years back maybe but not now for Boyle. Not got same pace and refs seem to be on to his falling over.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him down here.

I think he said himself, that was his preference after Hibs.

I think we know how it will work out, if we were to sign him.

I'd see it as another Craig Bryson.

A player id be interested in us looking at is Wellington Phoenix striker, Ifeanyi Eze. Will be available on a free and has European clubs already looking to secure his services. He is excellent and I feel would suit Robinson. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him turn up in Scotland given the number of clubs seem to keep tabs on the A-league. He’d have been your traditional Hearts like signing but actually good. Strong, not afraid of digging in but actually incredibly good with his feet. He’ll probably end up at the Arabs.

Fantastic. We have a great record with our signings from down under.

Zdrilic, Fallon, McGarry, Milanovic, Yengi. I'd settle for an average one.

Have to say our experience with A league players makes me run a mile from going anywhere near anymore of them tbh…

Interesting, he’s only in his first season in the A league, Nigerian, been around a bit playing in Lucia and Iraq by the looks of it. Not young either, 26. I’d not put him in the same category as milanovic or mcgarry. Maybe we can get a swap deal?? Ship out yengi or milanovic in return??

Boyle is a definite no to me. If he can’t get a regular game for hibs, that says a lot. I think we need to be targeting a few solid pros aged 24-28 or so, very few project players this summer or the Armstrong/sivert types needed.
We’ve got lobban gyamfi frame Kjarten Marshall and bilalovic who I consider young first team players to develop, even lazetic is only 22. Need some more experience.

I would give shinnie a 1 year deal, good for the leadership, influence, and a role model to the squad, true club pro.

What’s the chances that Congreve could be enticed away from Swansea? He looks decent, 22 and a season in the league under his belt.

The FB Schjønning-Larsen at Killie also looks good on early viewing. 24 so a bit older.

Guess the difference being, he’s actually not antipodean. He’s not saying with the nix, would love us to try him out (whilst getting rid of Yengi, olusanya and Ambrose). Proper crowd pleaser with the effort he puts in and moments of magic. Also, in fairness, I said at the time we should have signed Devlin. Which we should have. Another was Cacace who’s a LB, but he’s been hindered by injury at Wrexham after good spells in Belgium and empoli.
