Falkirk at Home

Back to league duty on Sunday and for confidence need to be putting away one of promoted teams comfortably. Not expecting any arrivals by Sunday but looking like Morris could be away.

Hopefully no injuries from Thursday but might see squad rotation to rest players. No idea how we will line up but Devlin has to start at right back. He is a better defender than Jensen.

Really need to win to get league campaign on track. Falkirk have not looked great in games I have seen so surely we can win at home.

Although Jensen does have the advantage of not having played the full ninety! Devlin ran himself into the ground last night. Jensen has actually looked less fit than last season, and he's a lesser player for it. It's a difficult role and I think they'll just have to divvy it up this season. If we'd had an established left back, I'd like to have seen Lobban get an opportunity on Sunday. We should be able to carry a young player through games, especially at fullback, so either him or Frame should be getting minutes soon. Boyd too further up the park, but obviously not all at the same time.

Looks like Sokler going out on loan rumours could be true. Odd to start him on Thursday then ship him out a few days later (unless he requested it of course).

On the other hand, Lazetic in the squad earlier than expected.

He’s on the bench so fit enough, let’s see lazetic, yengi had chances but doesn’t look a footballer. Shinnie at left back too as he’ll get forward. Prob polvara off, didnt take the opportunity.

I don’t see it as a red at all, going in hard to win the ball and has to hit the ball 30 plus yards which requires a follow through. Not even a foul if you ask me.

That’s what I thought. Surprised he got booked initially (as was Nicky). VAR ruining the game.

21st August:  Serdar Gözübüyük - "I'm the worst referee Aberdeen fans will see this season, and I shall demonstrate with this red card"

28th August: Espen Eskås - "nonsense, I'm the worst.  Have a dodgy penalty AND a red card."

31st August: Ross Hardie - "hold my whistle..."

That goal comes from aochice and Clarkson being tippy tappy. Way too lightweight. Shinnie and those two in the middle.

Is it any surprise we can't get our foot on the ball now?
