  • Well if he scores against Celtic the Green Brigade are going to have an existential crisis....

Really hope the club start to target some Scottish players.  Looks like we are likely to lose Jack McKenzie which would only leave Shinnie and Devlin as the only Scottish first team regulars.  Massive

Welcome aboard Sandy. If we keep trying Jensens, we're bound to get a good one soon.

Haha, was living down south when we played Brighton in a pre-season friendly (how times have changed), watched on in amazement as he was playing RB and thinking this guy has absolutely no pace, no awareness of what's around him and not a clue how to play RB.  Anyway, apologies for continuing the disruption to the thread entitled "Transfer Window". (also no idea what Vujadinovic  means)

Ah yes, the McGhee era wasn’t it? Was some session in town.

anyway back on topic, welcome aboard Jensen. Would be good to see a striker through the door next!

Would be good if this one was to turn out to be an "interceptor" 😉

I don’t think Solberg ever played at LB? He played (terribly) at RB for a bit but was predominantly a CB. If I remember correctly Anderson played RB mostly while Solberg played in the middle and wasn’t until 2002 or so that Anderson moved into the middle.

LB would have been Jamie McAllister or Andy Dow depending if Dow was in midfield or not.

Oct 2001 down at Almondvale, Solberg definitely played left back. IIRC it was Whyte and Phil McGuire in the middle back then as Anderson was on his way back from a leg break

I was at that game. It was McAllister at left back. I think you're right though, that Solberg did play the last few minutes at left back when Anderson came on for McAllister. I don't think it continued into future fixtures.

Seen Alfie Dorrington on loan from Spurs being mentioned as a possibility. Left sided centre back.

Fuck sake, we've just got rid of two Alfies.

Think that one may be lost on the Kid(s)

All the kids have got to experience up till now is a borrowed Bus and a couple of Morris minors.

Oh, bravo 👏👏👏

Liam Macleod just said on the radio there's potentially interest in mcgrath from the States.

Pleased about Jensen, hopefully he's in for the trip to mordor

Aye Tom, it was always going to take being of a certain vintage to get that one 😁

Oh, BTW, I found Okkels on football manager just after he signed. If his stats in game are even remotely accurate (and the fm database is usually a good ballpark 2bf) he should be a very good player at this level imo

Alfie Dorrington in on loan from spurs appears to be a thing.  6ft 4,  19 yo CB who made his PL debut recently.

Can we assume left sided central defender?

while another wide midfield player would be nice, we have Morris topi and okkels now, and attacking center mid I’m actually intrigued to see if pape can be a decent 10 with competition from clarkson. A number 9 is essential in this window, but the rest can be summer.

as for going out, Macdonald, duk, McGrath this window, maybe Mackenzie?? Ambrose out on loan?

Who would take him? I doubt Stonehaven Juniors would even want him. I watched him in the hearts game and I can only liken him to a stick floating down a river. he bumps into everything, mostly unintentional. Sometimes the ball comes to him, and both he and the ball go spinning off in a different direction until the overall force of the river re-directs the ball back in the correct direction.

The Depressing Journal says Dorrington is an England U19 International and plays Central Defence.

I think that might have been a different black player.

Jesus. I've just reviewed the highlights. The lad who was playing just as shit as Ambrose... turns out to be Duk!  Feck, maybe I am racist after all

Calvin ramsay looks to be off to Killie on loan, I would have had him back for the rest of the season quite happily
