Due to work not going to make this one. Hopefully for those who do attend it’s a more entertaining game than Saturday. Oot Work Flat Flat 1-1 McGinn.
-
Development loans mean player can still play in reserve games and also continue to train with their actual team.
-
Shite game but right result. Fuck paying to watch football like that every week.
-
Away end sold out even with this being an evening kick off live on council tv. We will need a better performance than last visit there to get through. Not convinced the Cosgrove and Main partnership will work so would hope McInnes will revert to having McGinn in beside Main. Not sure if Ojo will be back for this so assuming he is not would think it would be Ferguson and McGeouch in the middle with Hedges and Kennedy wide. Would stick with a back 4 for this one. Really need to be winning this one. In Pub somewhere in the weeg Away end Train back to capital. 2-0 McGinn and Hedges

Not Huns this time but reserves beat Motherwell 3-1 today to reach Reserve Cup final. Dons goals from Anderson Ruth and Virtanen. https://www.afc.co.uk/report_nostats/development-dons-defeat-motherwell-to-reach-reserve-cup-final/

The Norwegian season does not start until April so he will have only been starting his preseason work. Suspect might be another few weeks before he is up to speed.
-
Cove’s win today coupled with Edinburgh City’s draw with Brechin leaves them 8 clear with 11 left to play.
-
I thought we defended poorly on Wednesday but today was even worse. Gifted County two easy goals. How McKay got so much room to get a free header for the first is beyond me. Thought both Campbell’s yellow cards were on the soft side but they were technically yellow cards so off he goes. He will hopefully learn from this. McInnes should have hooked Cosgrove immediately to bring on another midfielder and left Main up top. Cosgrove had another poor game. His form is tanking of late. He needs to drop back to the bench. We are going to have to improve if we are to finish third.
-
Would put nothing passed him. He even tried build up to his wedding as an excuse before.
-
Friday and no game thread. Manc really is failing in his responsibilities. Hopefully we stick with a back 4 for this one after Wednesday's mess. Would like to think Campbell will get a start as he played well when he came on but expect Bryson, McGeouch or Ojo if fit to be in before him. A few of the players looked out on their feet at the end on Wednesday so suspect there will be changes. We have easily beaten County twice this season and hopefully this trend will continue on Saturday. In train then pub Y Pub then train back to the Capital. 3-0 Kennedy McLennan and McKenna
-
Roller coaster of a game. 1st half was awful. 3 at the back was obviously not working and was surprised it took McInnes so long to move McLennan back as a stop gap right back or that he did not immediately replace one of midfield holding 3 with Logan rather than waiting until half time. Midfield 3 also did not work and we had far to many moves slowed down by them. 2nd half with Logan and almost a 4-4-2 we looked decent and more balanced until it got the strikers who offered little goal threat. Pretty sure Considine’s header was first effort on target. Extra time was wild. Some awful defending from both sides.

For those going tonight tickets from the away end are on sale from the Gym/Community Office on Rugby Road from 1845. Cash only.
-
No idea but going to have to find it as not got a ticket yet.
-
There will be a cash gate for this according to Pittodrie ticket office.

Need to approach the game in same manner we did yesterday. McGinn has to continue in the central role behind the striker. Ojo’s injury looked like it might be one that will keep him out for a few weeks so would expect McGeouch to come in to replace him as would not expect us to risk Bryson on the plastic. Killie will sit in and try to hit us on the break so cannot see this being a goal fest. In Lift through Away end Lift back to capital. 2-0 McGinn and Kennedy
-
That was probably best we have played against Victim FC in a number of years. Yes we lost but we made them work for it rather than our usual meek surrender. As others have said felt we lost our shape when Bryson was brought on for Kennedy which allowed them into the game. Only disappointing thing for me was despite a number of good balls into the box we did not work Foster enough.
-
Got to think PSG and Real Madrid are in danger of getting picked up under this.
-
Not sure going with 3 at the back is going to work against Victim FC as they have pace wide and our wing backs could easily be pushed back into a 5-3-2 formation with no width. Might be better to switch back to 4 at the back and 5 in the middle but drop McGeouch to allow us to keep McGinn in behind the striker. Main deserves the start following his performance (against an admittedly shite Hamilton) on Tuesday but can see McInnes bringing Cosgrove back in. Cannot see us getting anything from the game as Victims seem to have stepped it up a gear since the winter break. In Supporters bus as only 1 train from Edinburgh that arrives before kick off Y Supporter bus back to the Capital. 3-0 no dons scorer
-
Kilmarnock finding form before cup replay beating Tribute Act 2-1 tonight. Elsewhere St Johnstone doing Dons a favour winning 2-1 over 10 man Motherwell.
-
Thought we played well in the first half and scored 3 good goals. Balls from Considine for 1st and third goals were both inch perfect. Good to see McGinn being played in behind Main as many fans had been calling for. Seemed to work well and hopefully something we will continue with. As others have said it was got to remember it was only Hamilton we were playing but it was pleasing to see us moving the ball quickly without resorting to hoofing it. Second half Hamilton got into the game more. Not sure if the was down to them upping their game, having the wind at their backs, Dons taking their foot of the gas or a combination of the three.
-
Would expect same team as Saturday with exception of Main replacing Cosgrove as McInnes was pleased with Saturday. That said McGinn maybe rested with Hedges coming in. If I can be arsed going I expect it be a race between the cold and the eye bleedingly brutal football to see which drives me back to the pub first. In (at the moment) Work then train through Away end Train back to capital 1-0 Kennedy
-
That was dire stuff. No attacking threat whatsoever. Had plenty of the ball but far to slow in moving the ball forward which allowed Kilmarnock to get back into their defensive positions and we were completely unable to break them down. Agree with those who say Campbell was our best player. Substitutions were bizarre to say the least. Only positive is we are still in the cup and Kilmarnock are so bad that we will probably get through the replay. Just not sure I want to put myself through the abysmal shite we will play to do so.
-
Would expect changes to line up from Wednesday. Surely Gallagher will be dropped for McGinn. Hope we do not return to 3 holding midfielders but can see McInnes reverting to this. We need to start the game on the front foot and attack Kilmarnock from the off but our 3 holding midfielders do not allow us to do this. Logan should come back in for Hernandez who looked well short of match sharpness but that’s not a surprise given he had not played since end of November. Maybe needs a couple of reserve games to get a bit of match sharpness. Pity we withdrew from the reserve league. Have no option but to stick with misfiring Cosgrove up front as we do not have another option now. Failure to prioritise another attacking option when club had clearly decided Main and Wilson were not the answer was criminal. We really need to attack Kilmarnock from the off as if we allow them to put us under pressure or worse score early on the atmosphere will turn ugly quickly. In Pub in town Y Beers in town then family meal 1-0 McGinn
-
Come on Rico you have seen Taylor’s aimless punts which were just as bad as anything Devlin produced.
-
No goals in 4 games and no goals from open play in 6. Failure to address the lack of creation in the middle of the park in the January window was criminal.
