  1. Aye, did he not call his son Mason or something like that? Seem to remember he got a lot more stick than Wright
  2. Out Work Work and maybe sneak into the live chat Celebrating in my own quiet, modest way and still at work 0-1 Rooney 92nd minute penalty
  3. This ^^^ I've been going to Dons games for a long time and I didn't need ultras in any of the decades from the 70s onwards to make an "atmosphere" for me, if it was a good/great/fantastic game I'd be singing and cheering with the best of them, if t'was shite (an end of season 0-5 v Hearts springs to mind with Warner(?) in goal and Whyte in defence(?)) then I didn't want any of yer ultra's pish. The displays are usually very good, but beyond that, meh.
  4. Status Quo- Whatever You Want
  5. I mind kids talking about wearing "DM's" when I was aloon, was this no something to do with the Dazzler?
  6. Anybody likely to be in the online chat? I may put in an appearance if the boss isnae here

  9. Nice!!
  10. Aye, a welcome return SB
  11. ^^^ makes them attracted to 'poles'?
  12. Is it just me that's getting more and more irritated by this (is it just me becoming and grumpy old man?) (becoming??) Anyway, I find myself getting increasingly annoyed seeing sportstars with their own registered "logos" (usually some poncey graphic designer stylisation of their initials). Federer and Woods seem to be among the first I remember (but there may be others) and as for Lewis Hamilton I know it has always been thus since the advent of professional sports and big sponsors etc, but I find this sort of "self-aggrandizement" particularly seems to be de-rigeur these days, for individual sports men/women especially. Am I in a minority here, am I really just a GOM or a dinosaur?
  13. Shame I can't stand Federer then eh? (well I dinna suppose he'll worry ) Just something about him and his "brand" I don't like. Maybe it's the fecking annoying "RF" logo (yes golfers with that like "TW". "AS" "JR" etc grind my puss too), or the fawning adulation of some people (press and public). I appreciate he is a genuine "great", but I still can't warm to the smug-looking bugger.
  14. Makes me feel like a youngster
  15. Out Work Work Happy with a win to no goals conceded. 2-0 Stewart 2
  16. Welcome to red&white glory-ville Nicky
  17. Hope we can at least strengthen the back line before the euro game deadline
  18. Paris St-Germain no longer want their 30-year-old midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa. Worth a punt
  19. My first Euro game was the one against Spurs, (1973 or 74 I think) so that has a place in my heart Favourites would be the Ipswich, Bayern, Watershcei and Sion (7 goals in Europe!!!) and the Super Cup Hamburg game. Since then I suppose the Torino game was good if ultimately disappointing, missed the Copenhagen and Bayer games more recently so canna comment there.
  20. This should kill off any desire from McLean to want to go there now you would think?
  21. I was so busy with family 4th of July BBQ I forgot about this, what a pleasant surprise when I logged on here! (It could only have been better if it had been the 12th, but I'll bet there are marches coming up this weekend that should be a larf!)
  22. Tried to have a look into swallow swallow (I know but I canna resist) but it appears to be broken!

    Films

Watching some old classics recently.... Harvey (1950) Great film and Jimmy Stewart is fantastic as Elwood P Dowd. Gaslight (1940) Atmospheric psychological "thriller". Very, very good. Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) Just a great film, I like Cary Grant and he is marvelous in this. The African Queen (1951) a great film, superb acting from Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn. I would recommend these to anyone that likes their cinema with great writing and no CG!
  24. Same old scum, embarrassing Scottish football http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40468277
