  1. In the most part agree. With the exception of Anderson the squad was virtually the same as last season until Hart and Clark departed in Jan; since then we have leaked a horrendous amount of goals. As far as replacements go, personally i think that Maybury is a better full back than Hart. still unsure about Walker and Clark. Anderson has not been replaced. As such we have not had a settled back 4 all season - reflected by the goals lost column - a situation made worse by ditching hart. Dont even get me started on mair or duff. So, with the back four all over the place & coupled with some bad man management by JC, we have the clusterfuck that is happening now. Both problems have been brewing for a while and on their own they probably would not have resulted in the results that we have had since the turn of the year. As they say, the buck stops with the manager... You have to wonder what sort of motivational skills he has?? Killi have been pish for the whole season yet we dont turn up and get pumped 3-1. If we'd played like we had against bayern at home or hibs away we would have shat on them!!! I'm stopping now before i get upset.
  2. Cant believe that Chris fucking Maguire has one dedicated to himself
  3. Tin hat on indeed......... Personally think langfield has done alright - with the exception of the disaster that was tinkcastle (cheers bwt... had just about erased that horror story from my mind ) I reckon that there are areas of the team that need improving far more than the GK position. CM to play alongside seve for starters *puts tin hat on*
  4. Totally: its very frustrating.. while we played relatively well against hibs, we still didn't take anything from the game. We can only hope that the team turns up on sunday. With a point to prove. If we have any aspirations in the league, we need to start winning. Thats what its down to with me - hoping the team turns up. Its probably not looking good. Thing is, as you say, if we turn up, we have the ablity to shit on them
  5. Come On!!! if we play like last sunday we will win. Here's hopping there is still some gas in the tank.
  6. agree with that. Sneckie: BBC live text thing is pish. The guy that does it is obviously an idiot. Was just trying to point out that Bayern didn't really look like they got out of 1st gear...... Even their center backs had yards of pace against pretty much all of our players. They were the better team. Here's hoping that the team have learned from the experience & put killi to the sword on sunday.
  7. Have to disagree with that.... we were beaten tonight by a world class team who controlled the game from start to finish - after they rattled the bar on 4min, it was ominous. Lovell starting over mackie.... every time on the basis of the past few games.
  8. That's the spirit, If nothing else works, then a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through.
  9. Seve seems to be playing really well.
  10. I take it that means we've sold out then??
  11. fully agree with what you said but the quoted paragraph could have been written any time(s) I think being in europe has helped us getting players like walker - from the prem club view point, playing in a 1st 11 every week with euro games is a very good from their perspective.
  12. fair point. 4-4-2 all the way. dare I say a European win bonus aswell???
  13. here's hoping that Boro see another 18 months at pittodrie as an excellent opportunity for walker to get some 1st team football.
  14. Sunday is a far bigger test of the team than last night was IMO. If we have serious aspirations for 3rd this year it is a must win game. In comparison, last night we were pretty much expected to loose. Here's hoping that we stick with the same team and attitude, coz if we play like we played last night we will pump them.
  15. cheapest ticket being £55 :o
  16. Alternatively, the Birmingham/Boro might decide that a another full season (hopefully playing in european competition) will aid their development... these sorts of players tend to go two ways - they either make it big at their respective clubs or the loan ends and they get sold. Here's hoping that they or similar are at AFC next season :fingerscrossed:
  17. ;D I won't go as far to say that you should eat half your words In the 1st half i thought he was pretty good. The 2nd I was wanting Touzani on before they scored... Seemed to 2nd to every ball - although the same could be said for most of the team Mair on the other hand - he aint a left back.
