  1. The good thing is, is this is at home, so i'd really hope that we see some sort of positive response following the embarrassing shambles at Celtic Park before the intl break. how are folk thinking we will line up for this one? Will we see a return to the side for McGarry? Not really sure I want to be soaking up too much pressure against them.

Annoyingly, and as suspected, their manager appears to be competent so it won't be as optimistic as previous trips, but the home advantage (although I have seen who's officiating) should hopefully play in our favour!

I've heard nothing but good things about it i have to say,  looking forward to seeing it.

Saw Indy last week, really enjoyed it and it felt a very solid ending to the series.

Still haven't seen it. Not sure if it's on any of the streaming providers yet?

We watched War Dogs again on the weekend (didn't have the energy to look for something). Seemed quite poignant given what's going on in the middle east right now. It's not exactly a thought provoking film, but I'd no idea it was actually based on a real story.

    Progress.

Wild that this level of performance is acceptable. I was reading an unrelated news article (it was 3-0 at the time) by the time I’d finished reading it was 6. FFS.

My brother in Australia is struggling to get any sort of highlights of our games in the Group.

Anybody know how he can access the action?

Think it’s redtv or nothing. Maybe bein tv. I know they advertised having the games so a possible source

I missed out when he played in Auckland last night. A couple of mates went to see him though, both said he was just brilliant. He's a comedian id love to see. I've seen Bill Bailey, who is pretty good. Seen McIntyre who isn't bad. Saw Izzard about 10 yrs ago, he was rubbish tbh

Bill bailey along with jimmy carr seem to come down this way a fair bit. Will try and catch a couple more next year, just not fucking cheap!

  6. Was sure we had a thread about this but had no idea it was that long since we’d had a post on it! Some fond memories of this!

finally got to see Kevin Bridges live this week. Kicked off his tour down here in wellington. Funny as fuck, a lot of cry laughing. Was surprised how hammered the crowd was for a Tuesday, some good hecklers getting owned too. Good times.

They're two of our best players, we can't just bench one every week, we have to find a way to accommodate them.

I'd play Clarkson in the role that Duncan occupied v PAOK.

It's going to be a bit of trial and error, but they both add something to the team, and as well as Polvara has dove this season when he's played, both of them are better players than him.

I’m not doubting they’re better than polvara, but it doesn’t seem to work when they play together. So if that means we need to rotate a bit more then so be it.

  8. Can see us setting up formation wise pretty similar to PAOK, albeit, i'd expect Miovski and possibly Polvara to start? Don't want to see the Barron / Clarkson combo being tried again, it doesn't work. Playing two strikers will probably leave us short in the middle of the park, which is where we need numbers.

Not ideal playing them after their European pumping, as they'll likely want to come out firing, but they usually play like that against us anyway. If we can nullify them for a while and not concede some of the daft goals we've been conceding, then we might be able to grab something from this.

  9. Getting third in this group would have been result. I'm not overly bothered tbh. Yes, it would have been great to go through, but always felt that this euro jaunt was too early for us. We played some good stuff and a lot of grit and determination. happy with that performance and the subs seemed to make sense. I know some were surprised with Shinnie coming off, but we have a big game on the weekend.

Great finishes for both our goals, just our defence again letting us down with some silliness. Overall, proud of that. No mean feat to get a draw over there.

  10. Taking a leaf out of Rico’s preferred playbook, here’s the OG thread but for the reverse fixture 😬

PAOK beat olympiakos on the weekend, 4-2 away from home after a 2-0 loss to AEK earlier in the week. Can’t really see is picking much up over there but hopefully they’ll think they have us sussed out and we’ll somehow manage to conjure up something different. We didn’t really line up incorrectly the first time, just the fucking subs were wholeheartedly fucking stupid.

    many DTers heading along?

Like summer, I really hope we get rid of a few. Besuijen, Dadia and the Liverpool lad need binned. You're right about Devlin, but I think Robson will see Morris as the answer. There are enough games in which we can afford an attacking wing back and give Devlin a rest. I'd like to see another left centre back to push Jensen. I don't think he's that good. I don't think he's that bad either! Baccus is a good shout. Will weaken St Mirren in the race for third! If we can get £250k for Duk, then we should consider cashing in.

    Sakes, I’d forgotten about morris.

Agree, but this is the weekly frustration. The refereeing with the introduction of var has not helped the game. I don’t get why the bojan dive isn’t reviewed, thought var was meant to review ‘crucial’ decisions. Surely worth someone taking a second look??

god we are an awful watch most games. The result is all that matters but that was not an enjoyable game.
stupidity on Mackenzie’s part certainly didn’t help.

I actually thought we played a bit better after he got the red tbh. But I was being distracted a number of times. That was a turgid watch, but Bojan stepped up when we really needed him to. Could and should have doubled his count, but we got the win and defended resolutely after that. Who do we want, hearts or huns? I get the logic with hearts, but weirdly I think I’d find losing to them in a final harder. Enjoy your evening dandies, perfect start to a sunny Sunday here!

  13. Properly tearing it up in Serie A. It’s a joy to see. Not only for our connection, but also for seeing the huns greet about never having him

away to set up a separate Bologna thread.
