    Connor Barron to Cagliari ?

Decent move for him if true but kind of disappointed he isn't hanging around for another season or so and also the fact we miss out a potentially sizeable fee.

I didn’t expect him to stay given the carry on. Whether it was agent led or club, felt like bridges had been burnt so I’m glad it’s abroad. He’ll be a good player and I’m hoping he gets to realise it abroad. Stay the fuck away from the SPFL if he can, don’t want to see him lining up against us.

  2. I’d be happy enough with him staying on. Done a good job so far off the bench and the experience / consistency would be a good option for a year.

as an aside. I think we should be making a play for the Phoenix keeper Alex Paulsen. Very young and has been our number 1 all season. 11 shut outs, 80% save rate, commands his box really well and can deal with crosses. Good with his feet too. Would be cheap and definitely better than Roos. He’s got a great future ahead of him and a move to Scotland would help him on his way.

Xavi staying now, no doubt as a result of there no longer being a vacancy at Pittodrie.

An understandable disappointment (in his eyes).

  4. Would be very surprised if we see the same level of performance this weekend as we did the last. But it’s proven we still have the ability. Is shinnie out for this one too? Be interesting if Leven opts for the same starting XI or brings Sokler into the fray a bit more.

We were the last team to beat them, and we’ve not lost to them at pittodrie since early last season. So we should be relatively confident against them.

Well done premier sports for their commentary on that incident.

That makes up for them literally only giving a fuck about two teams.

No disagreements there. I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by the commentary.

Would he be that big a loss?

Would he be any bigger loss than Barry Robson was to the coaching team?

He's done okay for an inexperienced manager. He still takes his share of the blame for whatever the players were being coached all season.

Think as Dan said, it would be good for continuity and bedding in the new management team. He also has the benefit of not being tarnished by negativity as Robson now does. Be an interesting move for him if he does take it.

It wasn't penalty though, was outside the box.

Oh I know that, but the commentary claimed his hand had no where else to be which is fucking laughable. Premier sports were much more realistic about the event.

That was an incredible game to be at, the fans were terrific and oh my the team, so proud of them, and 3 fantastic bounces for the goals!

Sad this morning waking up and remembering we are not actually gonna be in the final, that performance deserved a better outcome.

Credit to Leven for working so hard with these players and let's have some of that fighting spirit for the rest of the games.

It sounded epic on tv and I was so happy my match day guilts got me. Was worth the minimal sleep and have to say was a bit emotional when the third went in. I dared to dream (even though I knew). The noise the dons fans made compared to them, chalk and cheese. Credit to all that made the journey.

That is the level of performance we expect from a dons team against Celtic at hampden. I’ve still yet to see it in person, but it was epic to see it happen. Great to see sokler on the score sheet and that the subs actually (morris aside) all made positive contributions. Morris I will grant put the ball in for the second non pen, but that aside was hiding and actually caused issues. Regardless, plenty of positive performances from the good guys, but Roos, GTF. What the hell was he playing at when Duncan was walking up for the pen? I remember thinking at the time, there is no way he scores after having to wait. Imbecile.

anyway, we turn back to league survival. Team have shown they’ve got fight and spirit, now need to show it again. Also, how we feeling about shinnie? Midfield looked pretty composed and balanced?

The only game after the cup final is the relegation play-off 😬

I'm sure he'll be watching every game. If anything, if I was an Elfsborg fan I'd be annoyed as his focus will be elsewhere, but I'm sure he'll see plenty of the Dons. They've got dodgy fire sticks in Sweden don't they?

NB: Breaking news tonight is that Thelin is pronounced Te-leen, with the emphasis on leen. I find if you say it out loud that way you can't help but sound Swedish.

You just said it out loud didn't you?

In all honesty, I’m preparing for the worst. But yeah, I meant the semi 😂 clocks changing this week has proper fucked me in the mornings.

as tlg says, nice to maybe see some light at the end of the tunnel? Please, please, please, cormack, don’t fuck this up and leave everyone to do their jobs. Apart from Gunn. Leave him anywhere but pittodrie or cormack park. Ta.

  10. I think I'd rather he was in after the cup final but before the end of the season. We need him to see the squad in a competitive environment so he knows who to cut this summer. Waiting for the off-season is no good imo.

Think i'm happy enough with this, but i'll be honest, I don't know much about him. He's something different.
