A very stark and accurate assessment really. I will say, currently, we are not looking likely to improve with the players we have and as the days draw on (yes it is still early days) it is is looking less and less likely. I think the youth are our only hope, but again, we can't rely on them. As things stand, there is no way we will improve on last season.

Ally i'm not pressing the panic button. It was pressed long ago seriously though, as tsr said, we needed 10 players that were of first team quality, obviously we weren't going to get 10 but we need more than 3! I know the season is not long over, but i sense that this is going to be a very long summer. I just hope mcghee manager to pull a few more signings out the bag. We need some serious grit in that team.

I have to say, those were my immediate thoughts as well slim when i was reading that article. He best not be hoping/counting on those two pretenders to stay. It concerns me greatly that he doesn't view this as a problem position, as even if fyvie is going to start there, we'll still need someone else to play in that position. Its been a problem for years and it needs to be addressed!

I think its just frustration more than anything. The feeling of inevitability and the almost obliviousness of everyone at the club at what was going on. Don't get me wrong my hope, optimism and passion has already started to return. I just felt completely let down by everyone bar Angus the bull.

Most of my scottish cousins were dons fans, and luckily for me one of them gave me an old away shirt and that was it. Its just grown and grown since then. As bobby says, it moulds you as a person and influences your thoughts. If i stopped i'd probably have to have crisis talks with myself. I'd have to start again. Last season the passion waned somewhat, but i don't think i was the only one.

My bad, didn't read it correctly. Fuck knows then! Its a shame, I'm still hoping they play someone remotely exciting down here. I can't believe we're playing the likes of Tamworth...is that preparing us for life in Div 1? Anyway, I agree, I didn't think we were prepared last season, doesn't seem like its exactly an intensive pre season.
