Optimistic no, looking forward to it, I guess so. Living in London, I don't get to see the Dons very often, so Saturday was the first time in ages i'd managed to get to a game. I too, shared your optimism, but we played exactly the same as we did last season. I guess it was a reality check, but i'm neither optimistic or pessimistic about the season ahead. There are promising signs, we just have to hope it all clicks together.

I think he mentioned last week that he was the only definite striker. Which, I did find bizarre. Also meant to add we did look much better (creativity wise) when Pawlett and I think Paton came on. True enough, but whether through choice or not, it seemed at times last season, McGhee would play players out of principle. I can't see one of his purchases being shipped out purely on that fact alone. Just my observations mind. Also, I know I'm probably over thinking this, but who knows how the team may improve purely by having a person who knows how to win and talk players through games. I'm not expecting miracles, but Kerr knew fuck all about football or being a captain. We may just see a difference in the team :hereshopingsmilie:

Unlucky Septic Mark hughes is Fulham's new manager. Think that is a more than decent appointment. Hopefully he can build on Roy's success and ensure they retain a few of their key players from last season.

I think this season, i'm not going to predict how many points we should/could/will claim in the opening games. I want to try avoid any potential disappointment It would be great if we could pick up a couple of wins in our opening games. Hopefully having hartley (a winner) in the team as el Capitano will hopefully inspire the rest of the team to find their winning mentality.

As has been said in another thread, I am hoping that it is Mackie that gets punted on loan. He'll claim the largest wage out of all of them. Thats my logic anyway, guess we'll have to wait and see.
