  1. Thought you said there was no snow in England?
  2. Well, the two obvious reason that shout at me: a) Played for the infirm b) Played in the Champions league, and in my opinion performed very well. Anderson and Miller hadn't done either of these, so I would say these should have inflattory influence on his value to the club.
  3. Really though? I'd say he wouldn't be the poorest wage, he's been with the club for quite some time. At the end of the day, he has a few years left on his contact come July, and any club that was interested will have to pay some sort of fee.
  4. My guess was that was why it was being costed separately, to act as statement of the clubs intent. I could be/am probably wrong about that. Is the soccer academy not shared with Cove anyway?
  5. Nice finish by Baines for the winner last night.
  6. Ajja, surely it has to come to a point though, where the interest in the game takes such a hit that it doesn't even make financial sense to go down to a 10 team league? If it goes back to that, fans will continue to give up and look further afield to find their saturday entertainment. I know the current figures will probably back their view the reduction, but the interest in the professional game in Scotland is dwindling, I honestly don't think the boards are aware of how severe the situation is.
  7. I thought Ross was ok as a short term fix, as was Maybury. But we can't rely on short term fix's to resolve a long term problem. I would hope that it is just buying the club time to actually sign a suitable player for that position. Personally, I don't think we'll be seeing Foster back, and I can't say I blame him. His stock should have risen suitably for someone to come in and make a bid for him.
  8. Shame. We need all the players we can get, let alone experienced ones that play in our weakest/non existant positions.

  10. I never had the opportunity to physically go to livi, I was always under the impression that it was just the town that was shit. Surely it couldn't be worse than st mirren. Epitomy of a Lego stadium.
  11. Don't let facts get in the way of stoneys argument
  12. Good, hopefully you'll get some answers from the club. Make sure they don't get an easy ride!
  13. Fanny jeffers, did he not play for the hun? We know how Stoney would feel about that Seriously though, I doubt he'd do it.
  14. I don't even want to think about it, but if we get relegated, I think we'll be down there for quite a while. So relegation is not an option in my eyes.
  15. Roll on the apprentice final!
  16. same for me. Too young to really remember miller luckily...
  17. Its been snowing in southern England since early Friday afternoon? Anyway fingers crossed he signs on Monday.
  18. Was a ridiculous attempt to sully the good name of Aberdeen in the first place!
  19. Totally, but could you call who would be willing to drop their name? They've al got egos that need to be massaged
  20. oot: Oot Prematch: revision Match: Radio/more revision Postmatcher: winter wonderland in Hyde park Prediction: 1-2
  21. Very funny, but my point still stands. Signing a full back will not make our season change. There are a multitude of other factors that need to change too.
  22. I can't help but think some people are getting get caught up in the necessity of getting full backs into the team. Of course we need some, but that isn't going to make our team the quality side we so desperately crave. It will help, but there are other pressing problems within our side. I think it was BTR said last night, we need to sort out the attitude first and foremost. I think Craig Brown will bring in players he will know can do a job. I don't know why, maybe it's sheer hope after the absolute hell we've all been through the past 2 and a bit years, but I feel Brown might just be able to deliver the level of consistency we require.
  23. I can't argue with any of that. On his day he is a decent spl keeper, however his apparent inability to learn from his mistakes is annoying as hell. Problem is, his consistency levels are fast becoming negative.
  24. I think after the past 2 managers we've had, the one thing we can safely say is that talk is cheap. Hopefully Brown is old and wise enough to actually know what he is talking about. Of course he'll be judged by results, but I have already been heartened by his immediate actions. I hope you're both a success with us Brown and Knox!
  25. United 1 up, Rooney just missed a penalty though.
