I'm sure I read on gossip this morning that it would be a loan move to make space for Modric.

I saw that yesterday as well BTR, do not want him to leave. Doubt we'd get someone of his quality at this stage of the summer.

Pretty sure we all had our doubts when he re-signed but he has proved us all wrong. It is great to have a competent centre half, now with a bit of non spl experience organising things again. Hopefully he can keep himself fit, and being the professional he is, I don't have any doubts about it. Brown has made two masterstroke signings this summer, Anderson being one, and naysmith being the other.

What is some fans beef with Vernon Crespo? I've noticed some fuds on mad have been berating him and want him sold?!?! What pie eyed world does that make sense in?

Only managed to listen to the first half, but we sounded excellent in it. Any idea about the size of the crowd? Sounded quite noisy anyway. So chuffed for ozzy, apparently his first career goal look forward to watching the highlights!

Whilst normally i'd completely agree, given Browns history, I don't have any faith of him doing it. A loan move would be best for all parties, because I think he has a future at the club (longer than our manager) and needs his confidence back ASAP.

Its on the BBC gossip column. Think it would do him the world of good. Falkirk or somewhere where they play decent attacking football.

My concern is that now the season has started, the momentum will be lost and the issue will be swiftly swept under the carpet. I hope i'm just being overly cynical, but i feel that we won't see much if anything until next season as they will claim to be "reviewing" everything this season.

I've always thought this, but he has no end product whatsoever. I am still genuinely disappointed that he was retained at AFC. If we're relying on him to get goals, we may as well give up and watch table tennis. I really hope Brown sees this and addresses this situation. He's got the first bit right about signing a player that can create, now he needs to address the bit that we were (are) monumentally shite at. Scoring.

The Bars? The Maccy D's towards north Park (by the copper box and hockey arena) was the biggest one. It was the same price as normal ones though they allowed you to have smoothies and juices with your big mac meal rather than just fizzy drinks. Is that normal? The pub situation at lords is pretty poor too. Not many boozers in the area.

I would have thought this only strengthens the case for Brown to sign a striker. I fully expected to see a few more loan signings (i'm not discrediting the club for who they've brought in so far).
