I have to say, i'm with you on this one Tyrant. I don't blame Suarez at all, the officials have somehow missed it and has now lead to that being the talking point of the game. I thought Suarez looked very sheepish after he scored it, almost apologetic.

Id completely forgotten about nile ranger until he was suddenly playing for the barcodes yesterday! Another that promised so much when he broke into the team, then seems to have disappeared.

I have watched that about 10 times today and I still don't get bored of it
-
surprised wolves gave him as much time as they did. Seemed destined to fail.
-
And with 10 men

I'll try find the link again, was on my phone. Video of a guy in SA who plays about with lions.

Pretty certain we took it from them. They've always sung it for as long as I know.

Barcodes down 1-0 away to Brighton. Ameobi just got sent off for a second yellow, but the other guy completely conned the ref. The referee should have guessed by the fact the dick did 4 rolls, looked up and did another for good measure. Ameobi is an honest player, disgusting behaviour.

I see elsewhere Brown has apparently been quoted in saying that J Brown will be fighting for his place between the sticks. So he's not looking for a new gk...i really hope he's signing someone on a pre contract agreement at least.

Sorry I disagree bearsden, I wouldn't touch them at the moment. The only striker I want out is fallon. We have such a good team morale at the moment which (as far as I can see) doesn't have any bams in it. They would only rock the boat unnecessarily. Could Dundee take a punt on them? Lord knows they need something.

Not sure there are many 18-25s on here are there? And Al, you're being kind to yourself there

Very much this

Happily see him sign another deal. Certainly wasn't meant to be playing as much as he has so i'm not surprised he has looked knackered the past few weeks. His leadership qualities are something that cannot be underestimated. I think we all know that he would never take the club for a ride and only sign if he felt he had something to give.
-
Very much this. Previously I would have agreed with Boatengs stance and fair play to him and his team for actually going through with it. But it's not the first time and just empowers the racists.
-
I'm not disagreeing with you mate, I just think that there must be keepers that play in leagues which use the wrmer months for their season rather than our set up. Id assume their contracts would run correspondingly to their season rather than ours. I just think our selection or "scouting" process is very short-sighted. Its all ifs and buts, I know.

what a shocker of a game!

I see Sturridge moved to Liverpool this afternoon too. Is that where there are Mav? They are a big club, but still. I'm surprised, but at least he made sure he got a fee for Motherwell. I think I would have preferred to see what they could achieve as a club over the course of the season rather than a paltry sum of money.
-
I knew you'd say that Having watched him at Ajax, he was never fond of staying on his feet. Kudos to him for doing so.

I still don't get this point about no decent goalkeepers being available in Jan. Sure, in the UK, but there are a multitude of leagues which do not play over winter. As I said, my preference would be for us to be able to raise our own, but for one reason or another we seem to be incapable of doing so. I really believe that we need to get rid of Langfield asap because he (as BB quite rightly pointed out) does not instil any confidence in the team, especially the defence. He completely bottled it at that cross. We can score as many as we like (and we should have scored a few before united actually equalised) but if you've got someone that is a complete liability then it will cost us more. It was ironic really that i thought his distribution yesterday was far from the worst i've seen from him. Anyway, back to the rest of the game. I think you're right GS, having watched it again on Alba last night, I thought it was closer to 16k. Could not see where there were vast swathes of empty seats to give the 13.1K attendance I really enjoyed the game, we played some great stuff and it's fantastic to see that real progress has been made. Cammy Smith especially impressed me, in fact all the youngsters did well. Here's hoping we use the break wisely.
-
I think he's done a cracking job at Caley. As scunnered said, he has a clean slate I'd like to hope that the fans would give him a chance but i doubt it.
-
Why though? We've already told Brown he can go (providing he actually goes) why would we not just use that money to sign a decent no.1 in Jan? I genuinely believe that he will be the difference between finishing 2nd and finishing 6th/7th.
-
Fair enough funster, as I said, it doesn't necessarily translate into being a good manager. I guess the real point i'm trying to make is that I want someone that has a history or at least an understanding of success and someone that would command respect. I only say Hartley because he's one of the few I can think of but yes, his CV is somewhat lacking.
-
To be fair, he had enough folk in the wall and I would have thought they'd have dealt with it. The bend on it was pretty special though so I wouldn't really blame him for that instance. What confuses me is the Arabs ability to find these great keepers for very little (I assume anyway). Why are we so incapable of doing this? Not only that, but we are incapable of producing our own crop. It's the one area which we have consistently lacked for well...as long as I can remember. Langfield should have gone the season after the Arab semi final at Tynie. McGhee nearly managed it and it was probably one of the few positives he started to do. Please Brown, for the sake of our team and the progress which we can all see, get a new no.1. ASAP.
