  1. Blast from the past, but saw this on twitter this morning, quite an interesting read. http://theinsideleft.com/duff-in-kazakhstan/

spammer The final should be decent, hopefully he'll pull it off. Didn't manage to stay up for the Taylor - Barenveld match, sounded like it turned into a cracker. Barney started so shakily that I thought it was going to be a mauling. Do not like Taylor at all.
  4. Genuinely, I don't know how this is possible, but I think there are a couple of others with no penalties are there not? I think the Tims have even only had 1 penalty this season. How a penalty wasn't given against Dundee I don't know. Looked like a stonewaller to me.

I'm sure there was a darts thread somewhere. Anyone watching the semi finals tonight? Van gerwen was on some form!
  7. Haha, I must still be drunk mav Aye funster, I was actually surprised that they included a replay of it. Good to see the Dundee fans applaud him off though. J shaughs was unlucky with his long range effort. Just a shame it was straight at the keeper.
  8. http://m.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dlxx10UmvFik%26list%3DPL0DF74379D4B448F0%26index%3D2&h=wAQG9xKB_&s=1 Refreshing to watch, just amazing how we were so bad against motherwell. Not getting too excited just yet, need to beat the Arabs before I'll get excited. Interesting times being a dons fan at the moment, it could be a good season.
  9. Everton look like a team possessed at the moment! Great start to their game against the London huns.
  10. Couldn't believe bale when I saw it yesterday, what a complete fanny. What did he say in his post match interview? I was glad the referee booked him for it and rightly so.
  11. arsenal - Newcastle was a mental game last night. Some great finishing and horrific defending. Bizarre that Giroud could have actually scored a hattrick after only being on for about 20mins!
  12. Aye, some folk on MAD were actually suggesting we brought rab Douglas in. Mental! Great result and great for McGinn. Any news on how serious der Kaisers injury is
  13. So is Hughes back in contention for this one then? Vernon has certainly tried in midfield and no-one can fault his professionalism, but we need a proper midfielder playing there. COYR, lets end the year on a high!
  14. Those would be my two choices as well Mav, possibly more-so Hartley as I've always admired his leadership skills and having not left the club that long ago, he would command the respect of all the players (top to bottom). I'd also like to think that he would be able to attract the right kind of player to the club, but I guess without taking the plunge we wouldn't know. I've not seen much of alloa this season, how do they look? As you say Jute, as much as I'd love us to win a cup under Brown, I can't see it. We've bottled far too many games (not that that was much different under many managers) and his tactics sometimes leave me completely bewildered. I really hope the club have given this some serious thought. Brown has done what has been asked of him and maybe the end of the season works out for all parties. I still maintain my original (albeit as Azteca said - idealistic) post would be the situation I would like to see happen, but accept it is highly unlikely given the reasons stated. Maybe him moving upstairs would be the best of both worlds?
  15. I'd imagine the police will be all over this fixture thanks to the minky dhims on Boxing Day. I've only ever gone to Whities. Edit: this is on the AFC site:
  16. What I would like to see is Brown to be retained (as Azteca points out) should we finish just outside the top 2, I would even probably suggest top 6 and a cup win, only on the proviso that a younger manager be brought in as his assistant with view to taking over the following season. That way we would at least retain some continuity which has crucially been lacking between the managerial appointments over the years. I would like to think that it would also allow players to get to know the future manager and understand their methods rather than being dumped in the deep end a la McGhee.
  17. I wonder if he'll end up in Nottinghamshire in Jan....
  18. We need both back asap. Cannot continue with a midfield with Vernon in it, it's not fair on him or the rest of the team.
  19. Sounds like Clark could be out for the season: Note this is from the retard, but still, why was he not scanned comprehensively immediately?!? I'm not a physio but surely this should be standard procedure?
  20. *sigh* http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/dec/27/sunderland-suspend-fans-standing-up I can't see how this helps the atmosphere at any football stadia. With the current momentum actually behind clubs to consider the possibility of reinstating safe standing sections, surely this will just discourage fans from attending altogether?
  21. Aye Richard Gordon said on twitter I think Amazon are doing it as a deal for £1.10 edit: here you go MBT http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000694023

Yep, doesn't work on chrome at all. Doesn't work properly on my phone either. It places the text in the grey margin at the top rather than the actual text box.
  23. I'd love it, but worried about ruining another legend
  24. From reading elsewhere Mav, it sounds like you may or may not have been correct. Apparently there was a group of young fuds singing about O'Donnell too. Not on at all, and even worse that it sounds like no-one had a word to them about it. We are not huns or tims.
