  1. Being pumped 4-1 by the Leith junkies
  2. So back to league action after the unsurprising disappointment of the national team. Really hope that the international break has given the team a well needed think and those who were away return fresh and ready for the challenge. We’ve not got a bad record against County, not having lost to them since 2013. Can see this being a tough challenge though as they are on better form than us and their striker seems to be banging them in this season. I actually think we should start with Quinn and Reynolds in defence. Think Reynolds needs someone experienced alongside him to ease him back. In / out: Out Prematcher: Pub Match: Flat Postmatcher: Flat / Pub Prediction: 1-1, Quinn Edit: good spot Al, definitely didn't mean can't!
  3. Will he still be involved with Scotland? Excellent, we can now boo the fuck out of him. Legend of a player but cunt of a man(ager).

    Films

Watched two movies this weekend, both worth a watch: Black Mass - Johnny Depp's latest film and a return to form imo. Brilliantly dark film about the Irish mob / FBI in Bawston. Dope - Black american comedy about "molly" / MDMA. Hilarious
  5. The country got embarrassed, there's no time for sentimentality when you have to build for the future. As I said yesterday, I do think that Strachan is the person to do it but I can't help but think Bobby has a point. He's quite clearly an egomaniac so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Playing brown, Hutton and Fletcher(s) is wrong and pointless.
  6. Ah I completely forgot that that was on last night. Worth a watch on iplayer?
  7. Dutch still on the verge of getting knocked out. Won 2-1 against the Kazakhs but turkey just need a point against Iceland in their next game. Seems strange, but the Dutch team do appear to have become shit over the year or so. There are no players (Robben aside when fit) who are superstars or world beaters. First time in my life time that I could say that.
  8. It was started by Ed, what do you expect
  9. Fantastic news! Thoroughly deserved, been a long time coming foe Wales.
  10. I'm not sure MBT. Still undecided on this one. Would love to see him get his first cap and wipe shittaker off the face of the planet.
  11. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest tbh. Whether he'd go is a completely different matter.
  12. Klopp announced: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34469429
  13. Well, well, well! They've actually had the balls! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34474231
  14. I see blatter is contemplating as to whether they should suspend blatter for 90 days. Great on the face of it but given that this prick is the father of the ethics committee I hold little hope.
  15. This is my biggest fear. You can tell Osborne looks like a tory extraordinaire and makes that pug faced cunt a tory lite. Johnson would be a puppet for some other unknown evil.
  16. Thank fuck. Desperately need him back. Thought his form had dropped for a while so hopefully a bit of time out will get him raring to go again!
  17. Did you not read what I wrote, he's a winner
  18. Can't argue with him, he's a winner and has won previously. I don't believe that they're not concerned by it but I also hope that it will put the shitters up them and get their act together.

    Gun control

Given a week where there have been two equally horrific acts involving guns on US soil, the previous one drawing a staunch lambasting of gun control in the US by Obama: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvEGFjWfHAE I genuinely wonder when the US as a whole will wake the fuck up and realise that the solution to gun crime is not as the NRA say "solution to a bad guy having a gun is ensuring that the good guy has one too". I've had a few arguments with yanks before where they hide behind the statistic that other developed countries suffer a higher number of these per head of capita. Whilst it may be true, it's not the point. My fear is that it's too late for the US. Because of their idiotic right to bare arms (probably correct at the time), they continue to allow the big arms dealers rule the world. I'm sure Rocket said something similar in another thread, it's thoroughly depressing. To those who live in the US, is there a general change in mood? I'm amazed that since the camera man and anchor woman weren't shot that the media hasn't gathered some pace behind it? Unfortunately, I don't think Obama has the power to act, but you have to wonder how they can continue. Something has to change.
  20. My old flat mate said the same, not necessarily down to the manager. He's always berated your transfer committee, especially the way you always seem to dither in the market. Seems to have swayed towards Klopp over the weekend, but certainly the past few weeks there seemed to be plenty of speculation over Ancelotti. Shame for you, I think he'd have a much quicker impact than Klopp. Rodgers appeared to be a decent manager but sounded like a bit of a penis of a man.
  21. I completely agree Reidzer, not at the game myself obviously, but it seems like they have lost confidence completely. The reason, who knows, but they need to sort it out and fast. Regardless, losing 5 goals at home is unacceptable. A serious re-grouping is required. Although, this comment from the EE site seems a bit OTT!
  22. Haha, been a long time coming sadly. Ancelotti is favourite to take the reigns, shame really
  23. Blistering start to the arsenal - man United game Three quality goals, United are all at sea
