Another thing which I've read a lot on facebook posts elsewhere is that "football lost, money won". This is a piss poor pathetic argument. Squad value and resources means everything over the course of a league campaign, but is completely irrelevant in a cup competition. It's a sad acceptance of the situation trying to make themselves feel better. It was purely down to our players failing to realise they were in a cup final and tactics yesterday. Celtic wanted it, fuck all to do with money, and fair play to them. Pricks.

Great post LA-don and hard to disagree with any of it. This upcoming transfer window is make or break for DM. My patience with him is wearing very thin. I really hope we give a good account of ourselves on Saturday but I fear that he'll revert to similar tactics to try and "stop them playing". All of this is incredibly frustrating because we have a team that can hurt others but very rarely are they allowed to play the way we know they can. Oh for a Heikkenen or Seve type player. I said it to a few yesterday, we cannot, under no circumstances, finish below the newco. It would appear that teams are getting back to thinking that they should fear them (they really shouldn't) but it would be completely unacceptable to finish below them.

When he lined up against us at Pittodrie I was delighted. Then we served up an incredibly insipid and defensive performance which didn't take advantage of this fact at all. I really hope that this isn't the case on Sunday. We need to run at him, he's easily the weakest link.

I agreed with a lot of what was said, although they do come across as over a bit hysterical at times. One of my favourite stadiums in the world for those very reasons. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the Emirates is the be all and end all. Having stood on the lower tier it was awful and the views are pretty horrific but the atmosphere (or lack of it at most times) is down to the Arsenal fans. Tynecastle is helped by the rake and the closeness of the fans to the pitch, something you don't see in modern stadia very often anymore. Big shame imo. I'm more criticizing the roof structure, but the rake down towards the pitch always helps.
