  1. We are playing Motherwell...can I just remind you of that. Fair enough, they gave us a lesson last time at Fir Park but we should go there with plenty belief we can turn them over. They have very poor recent form and we have decent form. Take the blades away from the wrists just for a second guys eh ? Given the number of games we have needed to go our way this season in Europe, for top 6 and now in the top 6 we are living some sort of charmed existence at the moment. Until 4:45 tomorrow I am going to think positively even if everyone else wants to be Ian Curtis.
  2. Lets be honest here. He is going so why concern ourselves with who has dealt with it wrongly or rightly. Move on.
  3. I hope to find a certain Mr McGhee celebrating the anniversary by gifting us 3 points on Saturday with some set piece magic
  4. I read on the mad site that he had apparently told the squad he was not staying. Not that we can take much from that........
  5. I'm now starting to see why they hate him so over on afc chat......it's a race thing.
  6. Thing is there is nothing we can do about it. That's where my apathy came from, I mean what can be done ? We could just as easily be raging about the goal we lost to St Mirren at Pittodrie to draw 1-1 or the fuck up to let Nade score at Pittodrie or the hitting the post and bar at 4-3 in the semi. None of it will change. If we don't make third it will because we didn't do enough. Simple as.
  7. Was that the game before the unmentionable Ibrox trip ? That was a crazy game, I remember being in a swelling crowd at the back of the SS just heading out when Motherwell went 3-0 up against the huns in injury time to put us top. Was mental.
  8. They will be familiar with him from his role in the 80's movie Wierd Science though: ...or maybe they think he is a top drawer referee ?
  9. I could def see Baz all poped up, there's a fair bit of bling goes with the job, goldy lookin' chains and sovvy rings galore
  10. And only 17,000 turned up as I recall.
  11. Having not been to a game in weeks I am having to endlessly speculate about the idea that the last game I go to (huns game) might actually mean something
  12. We can still afford for UTD to beat them at Ibrox That would put them in the position of needing Celtic only needing a draw against UTD. That would be funny. Basically as long as neither Well, UTD or Hibs get to 56 points we can still do it. So UTD can get a further 3 points, Hibs a further 3 (but we probably need them to get these in their game against Motherwell) and Motherwell can get a further 2 points. None of these point accumulations will be a showstopper for us as long as we get to 56 points by beating Well and huns.
  13. Just to toss another permutation into the hat here, if Motherwell get a point from the huns tonight and then UTD get a draw at Ibrox on Saturday due to the huns running out of steam. Then Celtic beat Hibs on the Sunday then Celtic would be 8 points clear. Then huns beat St Mirren but Motherwell get a draw against the huns in the next game then going into the last game we could still get 3rd but the huns couldn't win the league as they would be 4 points behind Celtic with one game to play...I think
  14. Aside from the obvious boost to the beer fund for Dons fans this could cause us a problem. A bumper Motherwell crowd will be the objective as they know fine well that 3 points will see them 3rd and this is their best chance to get it. If they can create a good atmosphere and Motherwell come out all guns blazing then our players might well bottle this one.
  15. Sounds like the kind of player who would we would build up so much but it would be all in vain and ultimately it would end badly. NB. For the purposes of clarifying accuracies I know its arteries!
  16. Thanks for that. Not sure I fit into either, being almost 40. Daily Thomson's decathlon and Jet Set Willy may have influenced my attention span a little but I take your point.
  17. It was a JDV cross. Also, noticed the Retard gave Walker a 2 and said he was very poor, always losing possession. Soemtimes wonder if these guys attend the game ?
  18. I can't see them winning it. They are up against a much better side and they are running out of steam fast. Their bottle will go and the crab will lead them to a glorious disaster. Keep the faith
  19. These fuckers win trophies every year. Who gives a shit what they win. Its just noise. I want European nights and I want lots of them
  20. Does no-one else read the first 6 lines of these epic diotribes and just scroll down to see how long they are and just give up ? I feel like less of a fan when I see the 'great article' posts but I simply can't be arsed
  21. Must have rivalled the ref at the CIS semi for that, or the linesman at ER when we lost 3-1...very very odd performances.
  22. If Celtic drop points then yes. However, if we still want Europe and for it to not be the last game of the season (ie huns still thinking they need to try against us) it would need to be a draw against Hibs at Parkhead. This would mean Hibs would then have to draw against Motherwell and not win. Still possible but you are practically fucking with the fabric of space and time by this point
  23. There is a degree of flexibility in the whole scenario as long as we win both games. I think we can afford for Hibs to beat Motherwell or draw as this would only give them 55 points and we would have 56 if we win next two. We can also afford for UTD to get a draw against huns and celtic as long as they don't win either as they would only have 54 points at the end. We can even afford for Motherwell to pick up a point against the huns somewhere before last game of season. Basically, draws are OK in most games and Hibs can afford a win against Well. However this works out, it could be one hell of a last day if the title is still up for grabs and all four teams could get 3rd
  24. Aberdeen every time. It shouldn't even need to be asked on an Aberdeen forum. As much as I would love to deny them the title on the last day for sheer evil pleasure, I'd far rather they came to Pittodrie with it in the bag so we have a better chance of taking them. If any Motherwell result goes against us from now, particularly if we can't beat them next week (which looks like a very very big ask) then I will be hoping we can derail the huns league campaign just so that there is something to take from the last part of the season. Until then its dons all the way, whatever the cost.
  25. Next week will be a tough fixture. We were woeful at Fir Park last time around and Motherwell came at us and destroyed us. The pitch is terrible. They have a pretty good home record and probably know that 3 points somewhere will see them through to 3rd. They must be looking at us as their best option of those 3 points and will be well up for the game. Def a tricky game and we will have to be at our best to take 3 points. Its another 'cup final' fixture.
