I agree that it is entirely down to the removal of cup matches that crowds have dropped, as you still see good away followings at these games. That said I don't see why we should pay extra when season tickets are already over priced.

Whilst I agree that seems the case, I would say that especially against Hamilton/St Johnstone at the start of the season, the players offered exaclty the same before disintergrating. It may be that the players Brown is trying to recruit will stop that happening again but i'll be interested to see how we react against a better team and after a defeat, as typically that's where we've fallen to bits in the past. We beat Hamilton 4-0 and Hibs 4-2 under McGhee, Brown has beaten the same two sides 1-0 and 2-1, albeit both away games, having seen all 4 matches in the flesh the two under McGhee were far superior performances. I don't think its unreasonable to say McGhee had bad luck with injuries which ultimately exposed his transfer policy. . Would like to clarify that I felt he had to be sacked when he was but feel some of the statements on here, at this stage, are somewhat baffling.

We've reached the semi finals of the league cup under McGhee - from the easy win at Alloa to the hard working victory over Falkirk the players were professional.

That wasn't a McGhee thing, the club has been like that for years, balls flying over the bar at half time, I agree that aspect is nice to hear but whether it has any effect on the games - time will tell. In any case, the poster wasn't referring to stuff like that but because we beat East Fife 6-0.

Same policy that was 3rd the year before though? It relies on luck, of which we had none at Aberdeen. The fullback issue was only heightened by the injuries we've suffered, rangers don't play any natural fullbacks and I reckon our best 11 would have been top 4 quality wise. Sadly outwith of our best 11 we had no quality whatsoever.

Yeah, he signed the other day, 2 and a half year deal, the Finnish keeper that is. I really like Bell as a keeper but I get the impression he's a similar error prone but overall decent stopper than Langfield is.

Its nice in some respects but then I was at Easter Road and we were nowhere near filling it. So why say we did? Some disagree but the board said that McGhee saved himself with an emotional speech (albeit only for a short time) and in general he always said the right thing, fact is the results were awful. I don't think there's a hidden agenda with Brown to be fair, I am guessing that the board have said to him the fans don't feel close to the club and so forth, needs to be addressed, hence why he tries to praise the fans all the time?

Common sense, Velicka is on more money than Foster, the huns wanted Foster therefore it makes no sense at all to think we'd be paying Velicka's wages, what sort of deal would that be for us, its fairly bloody obvious the huns are paying all the dosh imo.
