  1. What would the non old-firm teams loose if they all stood together and refused any old-firm supporters entry for the first home meeting between each of themselves and Rangers or Celtic? i.e no away tickets to the old firm for the first 11 games. Surely they would make some back by selling these tickets to home fans. Presumably a loss, how long would it take to make that loss back as compared to loosing 5% of the income on home gates every game, until they decide they need to charge 10% or 15%. There is no way Rangers and Celtic travelling support will be happy about not going to away games, and surely would kick up enough stink to get their clubs to drop the idea.
  2. Why was Snelders refered to as Th-e-oh and Ten Caat as Te-oh or Tay-oh. Or was that just me?
  3. I read, on holiday, "The Power of the Dog" by Don Winslow. It's all about the American war on drugs set over 30 years. Winslow tells of the involvement of the DEA ,the Mafia, CIA, Mexican drug cartels by telling the story through the eyes of several different characters. Best book I've read in a long while.
  4. Seems an odd move by Brizzle unless Orr is off to the Prem. If Orr is staying there is NO way Maybury is getting a game.
  5. If he's terrible (an above average League one player) then how bad will Tommy Wright be (an average league two player)?
  6. Is he left back? I had him pictured at right back, probably remembering Bournemouth defending, rather than attacking then.
  7. He's good if I remember right, would have seen him play I'm sure. Nae a very tall guy seem to remember him being fast but don't know why.
  8. Aye, that and the "another medical in two weeks" bit. It doesn't sit right with me.
  9. I'll be happy when this transfer dies on its arse. The boy disnae want to sign for us (IMHO). Normally I'd be annoyed but in this instance I think it's a blessing.
  10. According to mad Wrights coming. According to Hat Thompsons coming (could be any Thompson though!
  11. Aye sounds right, IF Seve is off (for a decent fee), what about a bid for Darren Barr? Still young but seems to have a good head on him, and would surely be an investment.
  12. I'd be surprised if Swindon really bid £150k they were days away from being wound up last season (allegedly), and afaik are still hemorrhaging money.
  13. Thank fuck! At last a signing to be genuinely pleased about. A left back who'd have thunk it. Heres too, two injury free years!
  14. Was this not on Aberdeen mad last week, with it starting as we have accepted two bids of £800k for Severin, one of which was from Rangers?
  15. It'll likely be Gaelic for all the Oirish watching Celtic every week.
  16. I see Anthony Elding has been left out of Leeds tour of Ireland, he had a 1 in 2 record for Stockport before moving to Leeds in January. Worth a look?
  17. If his mums application for assylum is accepted in France, could they then not come back as EU citizens.
  18. My dad is involved with the sports council, the cost of operating and maintaining one the old pools over something like 5 years costs far more than what it would cost to build, operate and maintain a new state of the art pool over the same timescale. So, think of the saving over ten to fifteen years. Probably enough to build a new Council Stadium!
  19. Have heard that Cheltenham maybe one of the clubs looking at Thompson . I came up for a game against Killie about 5 years ago when pele was manager. Think we scraped a draw that day, I remember saying to my dad that a couple of cheltenham players could have done a better job for us that day. Never did I think after the season we've had we'd be looking at the same players.
  20. On an aside according to the BBC rumours looks like you were right about Pidgley.
  21. Wouldn't make much difference but at least he shouldn't have the same opinion as a lot of southern englanders; that Scotland is a funny wee place at the top of england and they play pub league football. I'm assuming he would have family (of sorts) up here also. Although, it's all fairly irrelevant as I'm sure he's not anywhere near our radar screens.
  22. Think they sold some of there best assets in Jan to try to avoid administration, or when the administrators first came in. Think Talbots still there he was highly thought of at one point as was Calvin Andrews. Richard Langley is good but surely we don't need another CM.
  23. Luton's 30 point deduction, should we maybe join the vultures that are circulating, cheeky bid for Parkin? Scored a shed load at Swindon a few season ago so we know for sure he can score, still only 27, if I remember he's a big lad, and has a Scottish mum.
  24. You can't fucking sit down in it though seat spacing is for the all the sub five foot inbreds with flippers for feet they've got as supporters.
  25. Cheltenham wouldn't normally, but we've just sold our only hope of staying in League 1 for £425000 (IMO a disgrace of a fee, he was worth at least twice with the prices being paid at the minute). I also think it's fairly nailed on that Wright is going to Rochdale, which is even more of 1) an indicator of his talents 2) an embarrassment for us that he would rather go to another L2 club.
