Just woke up in the weeg with a raging hangover, canāt be arsed scrolling back and reading the usual negative pish, especially on a day we should be celebrating. Sometimes itās shite being dons fan, sometimes itās beyond words how magic it is. Thank you McInnes, Milne, McKenna, McLellan....I got McHammered last night in Glasgow

Aberdeen v Hamilton - Halloween fright night
CtS replied to RicoS321's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Good player, his performance last night reminded me of Logan when he first got here. I thought Wright looked great, itās brilliant to see so many young players looking confident and wanting the ball all the time - Ferguson epitomised that. I know itās only Hamilton but the signs last night were promising. -
Good man. Letās revisit the Mark Reynolds thread in about 10 years and see if your outlook has changed any...

Quick emergency stop as I was passing the Kingswells co-op there to pick up some dog shit bags. As I pondered the available selection I was distracted by an angry and inconsolable toddler and the pleas of his desperate father for him to behave.....and as I mulled over the horrors of having sprogs (mine are older now) I couldnāt help but have some sympathy for the stressed out dad. Only to turn the corner and realise it was Mr Reynolds himself! If youāre young, take my advice. Donāt have kids. Generally theyāre cunts, the bad times far outweigh the good, and for the next two decades at least theyāre going to ruin your lives. Marky Mark would agree with me just now.... Youāre welcome.

Magical. Iām hoarse, bruised, hungover, but so so happy today. Still wonāt be enough to make some of the moaning cunts in our support smile, but weāve already established thereās no pleasing some people. Donāt think I can make the 2nd so yesterday was my cup final, the goal celebration will live long in the memory though. What a night!

Proud to be part of our support at Hampden today, I donāt feel intimidated, or embarrassed, or nervous.....just proud. As Jim Telfer once said, this is our Everest. Against the odds Dandies - Stand big, Stand free.

Big weekend ahead. Iāve been accused of being over optimistic in the past but I wonāt change my attitude for this one. Yes weāre the underdogs on the pitch. Yes weāll be hugely outnumbered off the pitch. But weāve overcome these odds before and we can do it again on Sunday. Itāll be a long and painful journey home if we lose of course, but I think the pressure is off the players to a certain extent because of the opposition....as we all know losing to lower league opponents at this stage is utterly devastating as well as humiliating. All we can do is get stuck in on Sunday and give it our best shot - nothing to fear, nothing to lose. Itās not the size of the dog in the fight, itās the size of the fight in the dog. COYR!

The inflated amount paid last year was, as rocket suggested, simply to fend off other suitors. Milne maybe thought the potential cost of losing McInnes and effectively ending 5 years of (some sort of) progress, was too big a gamble. Milne might also argue that heās a self made millionaire and heās earned the right to pay whoever he wants whatever he sees fit. I wonāt pretend to know the truth about this because I donāt. 750k? I think heās worth every penny. Just my opinion.

Beautiful. I concur. In Somewhere surrounded by empty seats 2-1 us GMS x2 Smirking my way back up the road knowing afc have got a load of Hun cash burning a hole in their pocket!
-
Itāll be quite satisfying if the dons win AND cash in on the fact thereās 40,000 Huns there to see us do it Cheers for the blue pound ya weegie minks
-
I look forward to them trying to implement that policy if it ends up being an OF final....
-
Iām too young to remember that.....
-
Iāll be very happy (and surprised) if we sell 20k, but letās be honest - how fucking good would it be to actually witness 30 thousand dejected Huns trudging towards the hampden exit with 15 minutes to go?! Iāve dreamt of that moment... Hope the red army rise to the occasion.
-
So it took āintensive negotiationsā to ensure weāre only outnumbered by about 10,000?
-
Well Iām gutted that weāre losing such an important player for two important games. And Celtic should be too - their noisy complaints about the incident mean we now play the team theyāre trying to catch without a key defender. The whole situation with appeals etc this season has been a bit bonkers, and frightening that the inconsistencies are so bloody blatant. Weāve got strong managers in this league now with Clarke, Levein, Lennon, and DMC all openly questioning these anomalies - letās hope collectively they can put some pressure on the SPFL to come out and explain their decision making.
-
Thatās more like it! Clean sweep is one thing - but the margins of victory will be stressing the yanks out more than anything. A share of the spoils tomorrow would leave us in good shape going into day 3.
-
Europe battling to stay in touch with the Americans already at Le Golf National. Love the Ryder Cup, hope we can make it a decent contest.
-
The thought of several thousand dandies celebrating, while disgruntled Huns drown their sorrows, and a mix of enthusiastic hearts and Celtic fans loosen up prior to their match, in the same bars across Glasgow city centre.....I find the whole thing quite exciting! Weighing up my options, might be a weekend in Edinburgh for me, easy commute through to Glasgow Sunday morning, relatively safe celebrations in the capital city after the game. This is the best draw we could have had, Rangers are on good form but they will come a cropper - itās coming soon. October 28th.

Think the sfa have a big problem here, even playing one game in Edinburgh, and with different kick off times, itās almost impossible to avoid a collision of fans travelling either pre or post match. Could be messy.
