Aye. I was thinking about this. Didn't he laugh it off because it's never done by football clubs? Guys like CB and AK are experienced and probably set in their ways. I agreed with Seedorf to an extent. If the racialists know that players are going to react that much it's only going to encourage them. Didn't have his best game against United but I'd be happy to give him another year provided the offer is still there for him to rip up the contract if he gets injured long term.

Can't disagree with any of that, really. There needs to be harsh retrospective punishments handed out if we really want to stamp it out the game. But you'd need to give folk the benefit of the doubt. In this case I think it would be harsh to hammer Bale because he was going at pace and clipped. It's tough. And we don't have governing bodies strong enough to make tough/unpopular decisions. Credit to Suarez last night. Fouled by Cuelar out on the right hand side but managed to stay on his feet. Although he still had a long way to go and a lot to do he kept going and the ref played advantage. 99 out of 100 players would have went down or stopped and taken the free kick.

They do all make mistakes though but what you said first to true also. Langfield must be replaced. Whilst other players have made bad decisions which may have cost us points they've also won us points. Langfield has made no saves other SPL keepers wouldn't have but he has made blunders that other keepers wouldn't have. Seems to be every game against United that the Arabs sing "One Jamie Langfield".
