  1. Brilliant performance. Some great goals, attacking threat, control of the midfield and some youth thrown in for good measure. Let's hope this is the kind of passing football that we can expect this year. Special mention to brown. He looked in great shape, won everything he went for and ran that game. I didn't expect miracles from him but really impressed tonight.
  2. I've always thought that his big name outstripped his ability. Solid midfielder but nothing more. Lacks pace, winning mentality and presence. The last six months have shown that he doesn't have the minerals to turn games around when it matters. In fact himself and mcrorie have really disappointed and disappear when things get tough. He's more interested in winning fouls and shouting at refs than driving the team back into the match. Let's hope the Glasgow media big him up and we get some decent cash. In my opinion, this season must hurt his value. That said McArthur had survived years in the EPL and he's probably as close to Ferguson as any player I can think of.
  3. Well third place just fizzled out of sight with a whimper. I'm glad Dave sat through that. Should help him decide to back glass.
  4. P.s does anybody know what Hendrie was supposed to be doing tonight?
  5. Kamberi is a horse. Ferguson and mcgeouch are boring me to tears. Games flatter than a witches tit.
  6. I'll watch it after the boys game finishes. Hoping after a good bit of time to work on tactics that will see a bit of structure and direction. I think that it'll be a tight draw as we seem to lack the threat to suggest goals.
  7. Sky sports saying that Campbell has confirmed that he will leave the well at the end of the season. I think it's probably the only position where we have too many bodies. Would you take him over what we have? Would we be in with a chance?
  8. Well that was the standard 45 minutes of turgid pish.
  9. The only positive that I can take is that fergie started falling everywhere. Mcginn disappeared, Matty was shite again and the team returned to recently type. At least the new management now know what they're working with ( Or hopefully not working with) going forward.
  10. Goal comes from Kennedy slowing the fuck out of our attack. He's just not premier League level.
  11. The difference for me was that when we broke out, we had a plan and it's was slick. There wasn't a wingback playing sideways passes to a midfielder to send back to joe or Andy. At no point did Andy take his usual half a dozen touches before a pass. They looked hungry to get forward and weren't getting in each others way, slowing it down. Aye Celtic had great chances but so did we and it's been a while since we were creating good chances. I'm impressed by the change in a week. Let's hope it is all coaching and not just a wee bounce.
  12. Gutter but a lot more positive than negative from that display. Where has that Johnny Hayes been?
  13. Ooft, that would've been game over ?
  14. Loved that first half. They've had their chances but our play had been so much more positive. Passing forward, aggressive in the 50/50, Hayes using the pace he has. Moving the ball quickly on the counter. If glass can get that in a week, we have a lot to look forward to next season. Side note. Keeper has made some great saves and looks like he's giving his all. I've felt for some time that Joe had been going through the motions and don't think he'd have kept those out. Let's hope he has a fight for his spot now.
  15. Games come alive and a goal from open play !!!! I can take my head out of the oven for the 2nd half.
  16. I'm not against playing out. You see it in Germany every week. We just don't seem to have the ability to do it properly despite having an abundance of holding midfielders who should be collecting the ball and turning.
  17. That was the brutal first half that I sadly expected. We must be the only team in history to have no new manager bounce. Flat as fuck.
  18. Kennedy has already embarrassed himself twice. McCart has him in his pocket already.
  19. If love to analyse our stats this season. I'd be surprised if Joe hasn't had the most touches in the squad.
  20. I'm sure he was a physical presence when he arrived. The team are screaming out for a leader.
  21. Hate to say it but Cosgrove would've had a couple by now. On top of that, how lightweight are we at the back without ash winning challenges?. A real physical presence needed in the summer.
  22. Impressed with Ross so far. Making an impact. Unlike Ferguson who might still be on the bus.
  23. I wish glass all the best. He was a quality player and he might put a bit of ambition into the side. I'd love to see us try to take it to the old firm by trying to outplay them. When I see some of the German sides playing out on TV, I think to myself, " why can't our coaches make us play like that? ". It was clear that cormack park wasn't a hot bed of tactical brilliance and the team had little direction on game day. sure we might lose some games from mistakes but at least we'd enjoy watching it.
  24. The results since new year are to say that he wouldn't turn it around. He had nine chances to improve things and it didn't happen. Why would giving him more time be more positive than trying something new. Trying something new being a concept that he seemed incapable of comprehending as he churned out snoozefest after snoozefest.
  25. To be fair. Fergie is pretty much a carbon copy of brown without the presence and he rarely gets sent off. My worry would be that they couldn't play together because you can't have two guys niggling and falling over to win fouls constantly. Someone needs to add the creativity and drive.
