  1. Seems to me that the captaincy is being put out there as an incentive to sign. If that's the case, i"d be surprised if Stephen Hughes isn't on Jack and Victors radar. Should I be entirely mistaken, then Foster is a shoe in.
  2. The mock up looks pretty darned accurate to me. Not sure about the heritage badge either though.
  3. This from the BBC website this morning. Shame, really wanted a Saturday day out cup tie! BBC Scotland to screen Aberdeen v Dunfermline The Scottish Cup fifth round tie between Aberdeen and Dunfermline will be screened live on BBC One Scotland. The First Division outfit visit Pittodrie on Sunday 6 February, with the match kicking off at 1500 GMT. BBC Radio Scotland will also provide coverage, while highlights will be available on the BBC Sport website. The teams last met in the tournament in 2009, with the East End Park side prevailing on penalties after a goalless replay in Aberdeen.
  4. Can't help but agree, we're still poor in a lot of areas. In terms of pass marks, only really Bebo, Clangers for his tremendous save and Sone showed the kind of quality fans will come back to watch. Quality I'm sure we have and will see more of as confidence returns and Ifil says farewell to his time at the Pitt. We seemed all out of sorts and for the last 30 minutes and played like a team more frightened to lose than brave enough to go on and win. Ifil didn't help and really seemed to unsettle everyone around him when he came on, least of all the fans. No bleating (sic) about the 3 points though. Accies with their shite version of Andy Cameron trying to woefully rouse a quite frankly, shitty home support, played like spoilers, Skelton, Canning, Mensing and the normally affable Cerny tthe worst offenders. Did we deserve to win a game under the previous Manager we would have lost?, probably, but only just. Jack and Victor need to know the players a little better and are unlikely to start Folly in an area where he can't do most of Harley's running, which is just what we need him to do rather than try and be a creative wing man. Young Mr Jack also showed a great appetite for the game while Vernon (despite the goal that sparked a memorable celebration) and Magennis, have and will have better days. Let's hope that the first of these comes on 1st Jan. SF.
  5. This from todays online Hun. No shit Sherlock and who's fault is that exactly. Miller admits the job of replacing McGhee is tough because there are NO outstanding candidates. Scotland Under-21 boss Billy Stark is favourite, while it's understood the Dons also want to speak to Raith boss John McGlynn. But Miller said: "It will take time. There aren't any Alex Fergusons or Arsene Wengers out there desperate to come here."
  6. A more hands off approach for Willie would be a result. Time he also headed out of Dodge. Great player, but failed as a Manager and businessman.
  7. More worryingly the Scottish Hun suggests a greater role being played by Willie Miller. Surely he is just as culpable as McGhee for taking a salary that could pay a decent players wages - and for what?
  8. I'm tempted to say bring back JC. If that's too obvious, Terry Butcher might be another name on the radar.
  9. In/Oot: Oot Pre match: Pub Match? Behind a couch somewhere Post match: Pub Prediction: Ta Ta McGhee
  10. Do one McGhee and thanks all of the JCMG brigade.
  11. In/oot: oot Prematcher: Adamo, Bridge of Allan Postmatcher: Tappit Hen, Dunblane Prediction: 0-2 Ta Ta Mark.
  12. Here's the thing. If you speak to any Huns supporter, if they're honest they'll tell you that Scumdee Utd game apart, they're not that great or creative themselves. McGhee will do exactly what we expect and park the bus with a hope that a hero will emerge in the closing stages to do the right thing and stick the ball in the pokey for a lovely 1-0 victory. SF.
  13. Think I'd rather have Calum Davidson from Preston
  14. In or Oot : Oot Furry Boots : Callander Gowf Club Charity Day Pre Matcher: See Above Post Matcher: And Again Prediction : 2-1 Dandies. Magennis to break his duck and another Hartley penalty! Think MM will bring Vernon into the fold mid way trhough the second half, but other than that only Foster coming in for the Beast is a potential change. Be good to see the team develop a winning habit and give us all something to gloat about for a second week.
