We're just bitter that a player of Maybury's ability is considering NOT re-signing with us. Likewise, we're excited by the prospect of having players like McNamee and O'Brien sign for us in the first place. It's only natural for football fans to get a bit expressive when talking about players that can BOOST their club's stature and overall quality. If you notice, nobody will really give a shit the day Derek Young decides to move on. There's the difference. Maybury is quality. We want him to sign for Aberdeen and NOBODY ELSE!

I ain't whinging about the fact that there's no Aberdeen players in that list. The amount of injuries we had to just about every single Aberdeen player meant that we achieved 4th place thanks to a phenomenal effort from the entire squad, not just individuals. But my point is more aiming at questioning why the likes of McLeod wanks over United getting 5th, whilst the "patchy" Dons barely get a mention for coming in 4th.

There's the odd United player in there. He goes on about the United players as if they've done something phenomenal this season. And the only Aberdeen player to get a mention was Barry Nicholson. Barry didn't get into his team, but Murdo mentioned him in the midfield as he was "Mr Consistent in a patchy Aberdeen". Erm, excuse me. Where did Aberdeen finish the season? And tell me, where did United finish?

If he's demanding too much, fuck him. I'm glad we've said allegedly said get tae fuck to him. The cream of the crop players can demand decent wages. The rest need to do with what the clubs can offer them, or risk being stuck on the dole queue (or with Plymouth Argyle). Foran never has and never will be the cream of the crop. Maybe he was a handy player for Shamrock Rovers ... but if he's trying to milk AFC for all they're worth, he can get tae fuck. Should put the money to good use and get a QUALITY player like Maybury wrapped up and ready for another couple of seasons at Pittodrie.

In that respect, why not just go for Stevie Fulton. Surely he must be the BIGGEST player we could ever wish to have on our books.
