  1. We're gonna go out to Falkirk. McNamara is gonna score, I have seen it in a vision. I just know he's gonna come back and haunt us ... as if sitting on a handsome wage and doing fuckall for it wasn't enough to kick us in the nuts!
  2. Jason Donovan - Too Many Broken Hearts
  3. ... and wearing speedos, drinking Bundaberg lemon-lime-bitters, and referring to cookies as Afghans. Not to mention referring to football as "sokkah", cos "footy" is already reserved for both Aussie Rules AND Rugby League (wtf??)
  4. Hmmmm. Maybe that game wasn't a penalty afterall. I googled "rangers aberdeen irvine dodds" and one result shows both goals came from open play for the Dons, with Irvine scoring from a volley and Dodds netting after a knockdown from one of the huns. Gazza played, but there were debates regarding whether he'd play or not cos it was just after the allegations of his wife-beating shenanigans were made public.
  5. There's got to be something lacking in the Aberdeen training and physios somewhere. To me, Smith's injuries are mirroring those of Scott Booth. Scott was a fantastic player for us (I'm not going to talk about the 2nd time he played for us, as I'm more concerned about his exploits first time around). When he played, he was a real breath of fresh air and a genuine footballing brain that knew the route to goal. But he just couldn't stay away from the injury table. It seemed whenever someone sneezed in Montrose, the effects rippled their way up to Pittodrie and Scott would become injured. When he moved away from Aberdeen, the Dortmund specialists quickly realised that he had one leg longer than the other, and designed special boots for him. Hey presto, he went on to play like a normal footballer should do for clubs like Dortmund, Twente, Uttrecht, etc. As soon as he came back to Aberdeen, though, he started making regular appearances on the injury table again. It seems to me to be the same with Smith. I don't know his injury history pre-Aberdeen. But how can one man have such bad luck with injuries? Surely there's something wrong with the physios / training at Aberdeen. Surely!
  6. Kelt gets a semi every time he listens to the Dons on the radio.
  7. Guns n Roses - Since I Don't Have You
  8. Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays
  9. Ooh ooh! Think you might be right. Probably about 1997-ish. Dobbin scored the first, if I remember rightly. Unbelievably ... Snelders was in goals for the huns in that match!
  10. An Old Firm fan who knows there are more than two teams in the SPL? I reckon your mate is just too ashamed to admit he's actually a Partick Thistle fan!
  11. What makes you think this? He's happy at Aberdeen. His family are settled. He's on the injury table more often than not, yet he is still guaranteed a place in the senior team when he returns to any sort of fitness. He's basically got a contract on the table waiting for him. What other high-paying club would want Smith with his injury track-record? Thank fuck we haven't replaced him. I'm glad the likes of him, Darren Young, Kevin Rutkiepish, and co are out of the club. They were a cancer on us with the rumoured clique that existed, splitting the dressing room in two ... the group who like to piss about and have a laugh at the expense of others, and then the group who actually tried to take their job seriously. The jovial half used to swan around Aberdeen on a Saturday night like they owned the city. I stumbled across them numerous times on nights out in Aberdeen, and was embarrased by what I saw just about every time. The only remaining members of this shower of shite are Mackie and Derek Young. Fortunately, both seem to have settled down now and got on with trying to make the most of their remaining footballing careers, now that they realise the Hollywood part is behind them. I'd never have Esson back, not in a million years. I might have Preece back, only as a backup though. But not Esson.
  12. I know we got a freekick after a passback about ten years ago. Jess took the freekick from about 4 yards out and netted. But I cannae mind who the keeper was. Pretty sure it was post-Goram and pre-Klos. Dibble? When was he there? What about Charbonnier?
  13. Go on, Tommy. Prove me wrong
  14. Hehe, know exactly what you mean. Gin & Redbull is fantastic. But it's the effect it has on me that I drink it for, not the taste!
  15. Was there a game? Voddie's never really been my friend. Always seem to get excessively hungover the day after a night on the voddies. Now, Gin & RedBull? That stuff is fan-fuckin-tastic! If they made amphetamines in liquid format, this would be it! Serious peeling-off-the-walls material! And it tastes like asprin, so your body feels like it's already getting the hangover cure before the hangover kicks in, hehe.
  16. Petula Clark - Down Town
  17. We'll need to check with the manny who runs the server to see if he can adjust the time.
  18. I ken. But is it too much to ask just ONE of our strikers to be scoring regularly?
  19. Smith is arguably the player at Pittodrie with the most proven talent. If he can stay away from the treatment table, he's got to be worth a new contract ... especially when he comes out with statements like this: This last bit wins it for me.
  20. Well, if you're going to carry on with the quoting game ... So 31 games to get fit is a "short space of time", is it?
  21. Right, now you're boring me with taking quotes of mine out of context. My point is, Wright has been with us since August. He has scored one goal against East Fife and was single-handedly at fault for our loss to Dundee United. He's been on the treatment table for goodness knows how long. That, in my books, is a disappointing return for our 75k investment. What, in your mind, has Wright done at Aberdeen that removes any disappointment in you toward him?
  22. Jesus. Do I need to hit my head against a brick wall any more with conversations with you? You really don't grasp the concept of my argument, do you? My entire argument is he has been a very disappointing signing because we've seen so little of him and we are now entering the 31st competitive match of the season. There's a whole different thread on this forum debating the return for our money we're getting from Jamie Smith. I am very disappointed that we've only seen two starts from Wright when we are now into the business end of the season. What does it matter whether I've seen him play or not?
