Criticism of Langfield is very unfair, imo. Yes, he made a HUGE error last night, and nearly made another one when the ball squirmed through his legs later on. But he's had a lot more good games for us than bad. It's funny that not one of you giving him flak pointed out the fact that he kept four clean sheets ina row before this game... Anyway... Thought we were poor overall, and Brown got the tactics wrong initially. Vernon was totally isolated in the first half, and things changed a lot when Brown but a second striker on at half time. McGennis came on and did really well, and he clearly scares the shit out of defenders. We should start with Vernon and Big Josh upfront next time, with McGuire just in behind.

I would play Blackman upfront instead of McGuire when he is suspended. Blackman hasn't had the chance to play as a centre forward, yet - and we haven't seen the best of him as a result. (In my opinion) Also, Big Josh is an excellent impact sub - I mean how many SPL defenders want someone like him giving them a hard time for the last 20 mins of a match?

Shouldn't be in the first 11 for the game tomorrow, imo. Derek Young played well, and should retain his place until he doesn't play well.

I think he is undoubtedly a good striker - just doesn't seem to be fitting in well in our lineup right now. Hopefully he can be a good impact sub from the bench in the coming games.

Hopefully this is Andy's year. Ferrer is obviously no pushover, though. Sometimes it's hard to get the ball past him because he does so much running/hard work on court. Djokovic I think would be the slight favourite over Murray in the final, if that's the way it's going to be. Maybe not with the bookies here - but Djokovic is playing some sublime tennis.

Got back to Aberdeen from London yesterday - bitterly cold down there but no snow as yet. Day of annual leave today and have just spent two hours clearing the driveway and path of snow. Hate doing that - but there are loads of middle-aged/older mannies seemingly having the time of their lives doing it. What the fuck is that all about? How can you enjoy shifting snow out of the way?!

So why hasn't anyone signed him in the last six months then? Probably because as soon as he plays in a competitive match where he has to run really fast, his hamstring will go.
