  1. I think that if given the chance, Magennis would be our top scorer. Granted he will probably miss about a million chances that he has created himself, but he seems so willing to put the effort in. But he won't start enough games. So went for Vernon.
  2. Do we really need someone playing for us that clearly doesn't want to be here? Personally, I would be quite happy for us not to re-sign him. He would be a nice luxury to have on the bench, granted, but I think our squad is now strong enough without him.
  3. ...can go into the new season with a lot of confidence, especially with Clark and Arnason to come in.
  4. Indeed. In the first couple of minutes as well... Thought he came on to a really good game though, and got a standing ovation when he went off. For the first few mins I thought he was lacking in pace, but the fact that he reads the game so well makes up for that. Milsom looked very strong. Always wanting the ball, and the partnership of him and Osbourne looked very strong. After a slow start, Osbourne really got into the game - winning the ball with strong challenges, before passing on to Milsom. Pawlett alos looked very good - if he stays fit, he will be a major player for us this year. He glided past his opponents on many occasions. Gonzalez made a couple of good saves in goal, while Foster, considine, jack and Robertson were solid. Vernon was poor, mackie got into some good positions and prob should have scored. Maggenis when he came on looked sharp - set up a good chance for Mackie through determination. All in all - a good performance, and i THINK WE
  5. Did not expect this - well done AFC!
  6. Quite pleased about this signing. When he played for us, a lot of people didn't rate him and said he wasn't good enough. Then he left, and the saem people moanede about the lack of energy and ability we had in the middle of the park. One of those players that maybe doesn't seem to do that much - but when he's not there, he's actually quite badly missed.

    Andy Murray

Played very well yesterday Another straight sets victory on the cards tomorrow, before facing a tired and possibly injured Nadal in the semis... It's actually working out quite nicely for Andy at the moment, although Lopez will be on a high after his match yesterday as well.

    Andy Murray

Think Murray will take today's match v Gasquet in straight sets.
  9. Doesn't surprise me. As I said earlier in this thread, he is nowhere near good enough to play at SPL level. Good luck to him at Peterhead though - he will do well at that level.
  10. Most of the candidates on The Apprentice this year are hard to like. Helen is surely the clear favourite to win - hasn't she won every single task? I also think Tom is probably the most intelligent one of them all - however he doesn't push his ideas forward enough. Like last night's episode with the child's rucksack. And why the F*ck does that annoying woman have to say 'yeah' at the end of every sentence? We're going to do this yeah... This is a great product yeah...

    Andy Murray

Aye, he definitely needs to stop the chit chat, in particular the swearing, during points. A bit unlucky today though - played really well. Nadal played the big points better; that was the difference today. I guess that's still what separates him from Nadal and Djokovic, probably still Federer as well.
  12. Lets hope he is as good as Luis Fabiano and Patrizio Billio. Maybe we have even found the next Pasquinelli?

    Andy Murray

I think it will be close between Nadal and Murray. Quite simply, Nadal doesn't have the edge on clay against opponents that he used to have. Injuries are taking their toll on him, and the rest of the field is getting better all the time. Provided Murray is 100% fit, I think he will take this in a decider or 3-1.
  14. Hopefully this isn't too serious, and he makes a speedy recovery.

    Formula One

Webber deserves a huge amount of credit for that - a fantastic drive. Surely he would have won the race without the problems in qualifying? A good drive from Hamilton to win it - sacrificing some time in qualifying in order to keep a new set of tyres for the race turned out to be the perfect startegy.
  16. Just logged on to try and buy some tickets from the AFC site for tonight's match, and got this message: [quoteUNFORTUNATELY, THIS TIME YOU DON'T HAVE THE CORRECT PRIVILEGES ON YOUR ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THIS MATCH. WHY NOT RETURN TO TICKET HOME AND TRY ANOTHER MATCH? ] Dear oh dear. While I think it's fair enough that fans who have been to more games should get first chance at the tickets, does this mean that I am officially not allowed to buy a ticket (for me and three other people)? I haven't been able to attend a game this season due to work commitments, but I have been to maybe 20 games in the last three seasons. I always just buy them from the ticket office - so if I go to the ticket office today, will I be able to buy soem tickets? Or would I have had to bought tickets this season? Perhaps this is purely down to me not having an online ticket purchase history? Either way, this seems a bit ridiculous. AFC will surely be losing out on ticket sales from many other people as well.
  17. That statement is a bit ridiculous, imo. The guy is 21 years old!! And you've commented about 10 mins after he has had the worst round of his career - shouldn't you at least wait to see how he reacts in the next couple of tournaments before writing off his career?
  18. Lambing Live is back on - I think it's an excellent programme, given that I come from a farming background. It's a shame about the bad weather causing interruptions to the programme, and I know exactly how much of a worry that weather will be for the farmer, as you lose a lot of lambs in the cold, driving rain.
  19. Positive news. If the reason that we are scoring all of these late goals is down to improved fitness, then well done (yet again) to Craig and Archie. Two guys that know how to manage a football club.
  20. Really hope that we do not sign this guy. He's not good enough (in my opinion)
  21. Thanks for sorting my spelling. I guess doing that, then posting the patronising message, makes you feel pretty amazing! Anyway...I hope he gets at least 45 mins in this one.
  22. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20110317/scotland-squad-announcement_2212158_2317901 Will he get more game time than vs Northern Ireland? Sorted spelling for you
  23. I have seen McAllister play a few times. No doubt in my mind that he is nowhere near good enough to play at SPL level. Blackman, Vernon and McGennis all significantly better than him. He is similar in stature to Lee Miller. With none of Lee's ability.
